Nexus Recovery Services

I had been trying to get sober since 2004. This place was recommended to me from two people I knew that had success here already. One of them had been to over a dozen places before but has over a year today and is still sober. This place has cracked the code and you can quickly tell after meeting alumni that they have handle some pretty dire cases. Counselors all have impressive credentials and 90% of them are in recovery as well. This combination helps establish trust and respect for their time early on. There are no weak links and each one is very different which helps keep your attention. I contribute it to my continued success 6 months later. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking to finally stop.

These guys have such bigs hearts shout out to rob and johnnie they saved my life and were strong for me in my life when I couldnt be and I wouldnt be where Im at today without them!!! Nexus gang

Nexus is an excellent program with a well qualified and compassionate staff, many of whom are in recovery themselves and as such have great insight into what it takes to recover from alcoholism and drug addiction. I have been to plenty of excellent rehabs but I think my experience at nexus was one of the best Ive had. Coming up on one year sober I have to express my gratitude to nexus and the people there for all they have done for me on this path. I would highly recommend this program to anyone concerned with a drinking or drug problem

If you are reading these reviews for Nexus, it is probably because you are searching for the best possible place to help your son, daughter or a family member whose addiction has become evident for the first time. Or maybe you are sick and tired of letting substance abuse control your life and bring misery to those around you. When my wife and I finally realized that our son had become addicted to illegal prescription meds, we were in a panic about what to do. We knew nothing about addiction, treatment, sober living homes or the therapy involved in treating the disease. We were panicked because our son had admitted his problem and was ready for help, but we did not know where to turn. We had to educate ourselves quickly because we did not know how long our son would be open to getting help. Fortunately, we had a friend of a friend who is a career counselor on substance abuse and addiction. Upon calling her, she told us of different treatment centers across the country and that in her opinion Nexus had the best program in the nation. With our permission, she shared my contact information with the Nexus Recovery Center in Los Angeles. Within an hour I received a life saving phone call from Rob, one of the founders of Nexus. Although I was in a panic, Rob’s soothing voice and demeaner immediately calmed my fears and gave me hope that we could save my son. In less than 24 hours we were on a flight across the country to Los Angeles where the staff at Nexus had arranged for the first step of my son’s treatment and recovery. I don’t know if it was the saddest or the happiest day of my life, but when I left my son in their hands, I had hope. The first few weeks someone from Nexus called us almost daily to let us know how treatment was progressing. It was almost as if they were treating my wife and me too. I guess in a way they do treat the whole family. After the first couple of months we had an interactive family weekend that was fantastic. The family weekend meeting is attended by the families and by those going through the program. We sat in the meeting room of the extremely well-done Nexus facility and learned not only the importance, but the necessity of openness, honesty, trust, truthfulness and the absolute power of communication. And it hurts! I like to think of myself as pretty tuff old bag of bones, but I cried openly as my feelings surfaced. After months of therapy, counseling and living the life of sobriety, and with the experienced direction of the staff of Nexus, my son is the happiest I have seen him in years. It changed my life too; and it will change yours. You just need to make that commitment and pick up the phone.

I cant express in words what is truly in my heart in regards to Nexus Recovery Services. Mental illness /Substance Abuse Disorder doesnt just affect the person with the disease but the whole family. Nexus Recovery Services has been extremely effective with the type of treatment they provide for their clients. They give a very high level of care driven by self-less LOVE. Their experienced staff genuinely cares for the well being, healing, and recovery of all of their clients and it shows in their everyday interaction with the clients, their families and each other. They treat everyone with love and respect in an environment that is safe, non -judgmental, forgiving, and loving. They are a family and include YOU in that family and make you feel wanted, valued, and loved. After one year of treatment, my son is in a very stable and joyful place and so is our family thanks to Nexus. Nexus has taught our son many skills and given him the tools needed to live a sober and successful life. He now has more self-esteem with much hope for a brighter future. Johnnie and Melissa are wonderful! Recovery is possible with Nexus Recovery Services. They never give up on the clients even if the clients give up on themselves. My son has formed a bond with everyone at Nexus which has instilled many lasting friendships for years to come. Nexus, may you continue to shine your LIGHT to overcome the darkness.
