Alamitos Belmont Health and Rehabilitation

This place has a lot of reviews by EMPLOYEES which have messed with their ratings. This facility has some problems. Call lights aren't answered in a timely manner (30-1 hour). The nurse doesn't respond to inquiries for increased meds or med changes, etc. The food is horrible beds have major lumps in them, they only allow you to take showers 2x a week, they don't cover up pts when they take thrm to a shower, they make fun of residents, etc. I came here for rehab for my total knee replacement. I wouldn't refer patients here at all.

The staff very helpful and pleasant. The facility is clean and has some nice places to sit outside.

Here at Alamitos Belmont in the dietary department it feels like family. From the moment I got here I felt welcomed! In the kitchen we try our best to strive and make the residents happy with the food. I have such great coworkers we work together as a team. #mikeyscookingrocks

Alamitos Belmont has taken outstanding care of my mother. Mom came to A/B from the hospital with her pelvis broken in four places. A/B got her through the rehab process beautifully in spite of her dementia which made it challenging to work with her. She is now able to sit and stand, and her stability and stamina continue to improve. The facility has a lot of staff, many have been there for years. There are several interns and students, and they are kind and patient. My mother I was unable to return to assisted living and now resides at A/B where she continues to get great care. Over the last 9 months Ive watched several people come for short term rehab and move on. They are clearly great at rehab. They take excellent care of the residents. If there was one thing I wish was different, it would be easier access to the television. They all have individual TVs in their rooms on a swing arm, but they are not easy to operate. My favorite thing about A/B is the staff. They keep me informed, they know my mom and her interests, and the PT team in particular overcame her dementia issues to get her walking again. I am very grateful for Alamitos Belmont.
