    Unfortunately the Oceanfront Lodge appears to be a decent place to stay, until you begin the experience. Walking in the planters were filled with old fake flowers mixed with weeds and several bags of dog poo. The lobby appeared to be average. The staff did not appear professional or care what they represented by their appearance and attitude. After getting a room we made it in and sat down the futon was dirty, the comforter was dirty which we decided to look further and find the pillow cases we also dirty and the mattress cover was stained. There was no soap in the bathroom or tissues and when approaching the front desk staff they made it seem like a major inconvenience. At that point I chose to speak to the front desk about the issues, they denied it and told me if I wanted to receive a refund I would have to call their manager/owner who was in China and explain why. Then they began to get defensive with my wife and telling her there was no way to what we were saying is true. " From my experience in over 20 years of traveling for business never have hotels kept stained sheets in service" Luckilyly the staff chose to refund our money. At the same time another family was arguing with the staff about rooms they reserved several months prior. I would most definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone until they can fix their discrepancies. The only thing they had going for themselves is the location and the pool.

    Im only giving this place a 1 star review because I feel terrible for the poor staff members who work at this hotel. The owners and the way they run this place are a joke. First I came there and my rooms were wide open. Then the I watched the waitress and waiters running from the reception desk to the restaurant and also cleaning rooms I. The middle of work8ing tables. Second day I can back to a room clean but left wide open for whomever to go through my stuff. Ants all over all my stuff. They acted surprised about ants but on the cleaning carts they carried hotshot ant spray so they knew about an ant problem. Oh to top it off the internet was down the restaurant they offered was closed and so was the pool. Basically everything that they offered was broke. But they wanted to still charge full price for their rooms. I had to plead with the owners to attempt at refunding my second night so I could just go go home. They refused luckily I got ahold of the manager by phone and he refunded my second night so I wasnt stuck paying for it when I didnt stay. The poor workers they had were to nice to be there. Ive stayed at some serious dives that I would give business to again before I ever stayed there again.
