        Hotel was clean and updated as well as the rooms. Staff was very accommodating and overall it was a wonderful (albeit short) stay. Nearby activities: Redwoods ~ Jedediah Smith is within 5 minutes of the hotel. It is also located right across the street from a large marina which was great for an early morning walk.

        Fairly clean hotel, with nice rooms. Continental breakfast was decent, with a great view. However we booked for the pool with kids so it was a little disappointing when they informed us it was closed for repair, and had been for awhile. We probably would not have booked if we knew that in advance.

        We decided to stay an extra day and stay another night at this hotel. They gladly gave us another night stay but $40.00 more on a weekday night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms: Clean spacious rooms

        The front desk staff was great. The guy managing the breakfast area was nothing short of awesome (he greeted everyone, usually telling them, "I have made your hot breakfast and it is waiting for you over here"). This guy also doubled as a tour guide showing everyone pictures on his phone and telling them how to get to these places (based upon what that particular family was planning). One of the best ambassadors that I have ever met at a Best Western. But, now for the bad... The rooms were a bit dated and shabby and the eating area (breakfast area) was in a separate building and locked except during the breakfast hours. Not usually a problem, but the lobby was also tiny. So, there was NO PLACE for us to sit and eat our take-out dinner and no place for us to sit at a big table, drink coffee, spread out a map, and plan our next day's adventure, No place to enjoy an easy family discussion. Really disappointed about that...
