JCPenney

Came into the store between the hours 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm. 4/10/2024. I went in to ask if they had a JCPenney bag I could buy for 10 cents so I wouldnt have to walk around the mall with my brand new just bought Apple iPad. The lady on the top floor was very rude. Me and my husband asked for a JCPenney bag and she said no I said we cant buy them for 10 cents anymore? She looked at us very arrogantly and said in a condescending sarcastic voice sorry times have changed and gave a snarky smile. Me and my husband were just shocked I said do you not sell bags anymore? or do you just not give one unless we buy something? And she said yup u have to buy something then proceeded with how times have changed and she was very unkind/snarky about it. We were able to get a bag from the kind people at the boxlunch store for free!(: She didnt have to make the snarky comments and treat us like trash. She simply couldve said according to our store policies we cant give bags to non paying customers sorry and thank you for stopping into jcpennys. Its literally as simple as that!! It takes a lot more words and energy to be rude than to be kind and simple about things. Me and my husband had a grand time shopping for other things in the mall and we were both dressed up nice so the way we were treated didnt make sense. Its possible shes a racist since Im Mexican and my husband is Asian. I told the manager what happed and she kindly explained the policies with no problem however she didnt care at all about my experience with what happened. The whole store is mainly ran by a bunch of moody miserable old ladies. Youd think when someone looks dang near 70 theyd know proper customer service and how to do their job. Will not be returning anytime soon(:

Haven't been in JCPenny in years and I love it great prices and you can fine great things
