Monte Verde Inn

First time visiting Carmel. Monte Verde Inn was a great place & location. Right up the street from beach access. Room was very clean & well appointed. Loved the little extras added to the room. Breakfast delivered to the room was great. Randy provided excellent recommendations while in town. Would highly recommend!

Incredible location, few blocks from the ocean, steps from Ocean Avenue, cozy rooms, breakfast basket delivered at your room every morning. Great service.

I checked into the Monte Verde Inn on March 15, 2024 and checked out six hours later because I was itching all over. The bed was too soft and full of dust mites. I told Randy I could not stay there and needed to check out. He told me I would be charged that night because the Inn could have given that room to someone else but I told him the Inn was not full. He looked at me like a deer in headlights. I have since filed a claim with my credit card company to dispute this charge. I hope no one goes through the experience I have gone through. Totally unacceptable!!!

The room was very clean but for almost $300 a night I cannot believe this tiny room is what you get. The fridge was so loud it kept us up all night!! It needs a serious replacement. After hours on the road and wanting to relax this was the last thing we needed (could not unplug as we had food for travelling far). I realize Carmel is a tourist town but this was very expensive for a tiny motel. Good luck parking aa theres only 4 spots FCFS or youre on the street(if you can find that). Travelling all across America and Canada in the last 2 months this was the most expensive place as a treat to ourselves and unfortunately far from the best place we stayed! Great location if you want to walk all over downtown Carmel. Rooms: Very small but clean and cozy if youre into that! Small blurry tv. Old loud fridges Walkability: Close by to all downtown Carmel
