Carmel Country Inn

My wife and I stayed here at the weekend and loved it! Room: 9/10. We stayed in the 'Tree Top' room which was generously proportioned, but cozy at the same time. We slept with the windows open and it was so quiet and peaceful. Bed....super comfy. Service: 10/10. The ladies in the front office could not have been more helpful and friendly, and of course how could I forget Mr Big the cat...he was friendly too. Breakfast: 10/10. A great selection of coffee/pastries/granola/yogurt/fruit...and the mini bacon/egg and spinach quiches were amazing. You can eat in the breakfast room, on the rear terrace or (as we did) fill a tray with goodies and take it back up to the room. Location: 9/10. A straight shot 15 mins walk into Carmel and/or the beach. Just the right amount of distance to walk off the cocktails from the bars in Carmel. Extra Mile: I accidentally left a couple belongings in the closet of our room when we checked out. It wasn't until we got home that we realized. I called the hotel and they over-nighted these items back to me. So kind. We are already planning our next trip back...but this time we'll be taking our doggies.

We love the Carmel Country Inn. We have stayed here many, many times. Location is amazing, just walk to everything. The people are so nice and the rooms are outstanding! Highly recommend.

This is a great little place, tucked away on a quiet street. The staff is amazing, and you'll be impressed with their breakfast spread, homemade cookies and goodie bags for your drive time. We left our AirPods in the room and didn't even know it until the front desk called and told us they would mail them home right away. If you're a light sleeper, do NOT get a room on the bottom floor... that's the one and only negative.
