Le Petit Pali at 8th was amazing! We celebrated my 30th here from Fort Worth, TX and had such an amazing trip. We brought our 7 month old son and had baby rental gear delivered via BabyQuip. Karen and Shaq set up the gear and moved us to a bigger room before we got there which was so sweet, we definitely felt welcomed as a family. Shaq was so helpful with recommendations and Karen was always checking in to see if we needed anything. The champagne breakfast is a fun touch and Natalie our waitress was on top of it. I always felt like staff was on top of cleanliness and our room was always so clean. Valencia the housekeeper did a great job and I loved that they were always cleaning around our time out of the room and trying to make in convenient for us. The decor of the entire place is precious and such a fun vibe and the T3 straightener, blow dryer, and clothes steamer are nice additions as well! This would be a great place for a girls trip, couple, or families. I previously read concerns on parking and the walls being thin but I will say the little amount of foot traffic I heard from the room upstairs didnt bother us or the baby at all, and the parking during December wasnt much of an issue either. If having a parking lot is priority then you could select the ocean ave property that Le Petit Pali has. Chris at the front desk was super helpful at checkout explaining the differences in properties so I know for next time but we would definitely come back here because of the great touches and the customer service! The room did have a mini fridge but I also needed a freezer for ice packs for my breastmilk and the front desk was happy to keep the ice packs in their freezer up front, just a note for moms traveling with milk. Thanks for an amazing 30th birthday trip! A note on the AC.most hotels in Carmel dont have them which worried me a bit being from Texas but in December we kept a window open during the day and heater on at night and the temp was perfect.

Cute photos, sounds lovely but there are several things lacking. Their website shows they have air conditioning in the rooms, but they do not (and we happened to be there while it was hot). It is also loud since it was on a main street with a grocery store behind. Some staff is friendly while several are indifferent. Pluses are: extremely close to shopping and food, breakfast is included, simple yet good (toast, pastries, soft boiled egg, yogurt). My biggest disappointment was the handling of the late check out. We requested to check out at noon because my husband had a meeting at 11 am (check out time). We were told they'd put a note for our room. Apparently it was not approved and we weren't told. I had to rush back from town to load my husband's bags into the car because he had already started his meeting and he had to move to the lobby mid meeting. Sliding a notice under the door that we did not get the late check out would have been appreciated. Walkability: Lots of shopping and food nearby

My daughter and I just stayed there. Everything about this hotel is amazing. We felt like we were staying in a house instead of a hotel. It was decorated beautifully with such attention to detail. The courtyard was just lovely. The breakfast was wonderful. It is right off the main street and very quiet. I can't wait to go again.

We are from the East Coast, Long Island, and have never been to Carmel. We booked Le Petit Pali 8th Avenue based upon reviews we read. We were pleasantly surprised! It is a small, quaint, boutique hotel. They have a well appointed courtyard and the staff, especially Will P, is great! The rooms are nicely decorated and you are within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel! Again, the staff is phenomenal. Will, who is the bartender and takes care of guests at the outdoor courtyard, is an absolute pleasure! Polite, courteous and helpful. Have a conversation with him and it gives you hope for the future!! Stay here when coming to Carmel and you will not be disappointed!!!!!
