Berkeley, CA Grocery Store

Fairly good store but prices have gone way up since it was sold 1-2 months ago. Not many fruits and vegetables anymore.

It's a little on the small size, narrow isles. But there's never a long line to check out and a decent selection. The produce dept is pretty decent.

Their chicken is pretty amazing. Service is always friendly. This is a really great neighborhood shop.

Quality of meat is okay. But their dealings with customer is rude and unacceptable.

Our neighborhood is so lucky to have Star here. And if you like trying a wide variety of craft beers, which we do, you can't beat their selection. Lot's of gourmet items.

Eclectic corner store with a large downstairs grocery area. Beer is a little pricey, but open late when everything else is closed.

Downside: they don't sell alcohol.

Salami was great but now they're closed forever. It was good while it lasted.
