Seaport Village Inn, Avalon

Very cozy, fabulous view, spacious room. Very dated but everything was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was awesome after diving and service was super friendly.

Yes, the Inn is older and a bit dated, but overall a wonderful experience. Great views from our room and easy walking distance into town. Heads-up. There are some substantial hills going up if you have mobility issues. But quiet and peaceful and very reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and responsive. Hope to return soon.

We were very disappointed with our stay here. Our room was very run down. Our main door was a slider which would have been ok had there been a sturdier lock. There was also an interior door adjoining the room next door which we couldnt even lock. Fortunately, we feel safe in Avalon and the area around the hotel is good so we didnt necessarily feel unsafe, but strong working locks would be nice. The place hasnt been updated since provably the 80s. While we can live with old decor, but basic repairs have been ignored. Several walls had water damage which havent been dealt with. There were rusty fixtures in the bathroom and an overall odor of mildew. Many of the electrical outlets were loose and one was just hanging from the wall. The furniture and cabinets are beat up. The carpet was just gross. Ill stop there. This place could be really nice with some effort and investment in repairing and updating. The location and views are great but we wont be back.
