Every encounter ive had here has been great. It seems like they genuinely care about your pet. My first encounter was because I found a dog and checked for a microchip. And they were really helpful about what the next steps could be. I've had to take my dog a couple of times and they're quick, and friendly. I also like that they are straight forward about the cost, they have even given me an estimate for our follow up appointment.

We are moving abroad and needed to do a lot of procedures involving USDA, which is intimidating to me since its the first time I am relocating my dogs to a different country. VCA knows what they are doing and is on top of things. They handle things very efficiently

god awful pricing. kept misdiagnosing my cat over the course of a year and a half and downplayed how her health was fluctuating and deteriorating by calling her bloodwork boring, dismissing concerning lumps/growths as fatty tumors, and immediately suggesting gastric blockage/sensitive stomach if theres problems with keeping food down as if gastric blockage/sensitive stomach is the end all be all to any problems related to that. my cats health worsened due to not being treated or diagnosed correctly, which allowed her condition to decline to a degree in which she had to be put to sleep to be able to relieve pain, no chance of bouncing back with treatments suggested from another veterinary hospital we went to put her to sleep. on top of downplaying and misdiagnosing, not once did they ever show us her bloodwork or xrays. we were only told via word of mouth what they saw. according to them she was perfectly clear of tumors or cancer, and her bloodwork showed she was in early stage liver and kidney failure. when we went to a different vet, they physically showed us her ultrasounds and xrays in which she was /full/ of growths and cancer, and her bloodwork showed that her kidneys and liver were the only things that were alright while the rest of her body was shutting down. this all leads me to believe that the staff at vca acacia never even bothered to check her. they are not all inclusive and do not provide certain services and will try to push you to their other branches for further treatments and checks and will attempt to upcharge you. if they do this seek out another veterinary clinic or hospital immediately. if your animal is particularly anxious about vets its suggested to give them medicine to reduce stress or make them, for lack of better term, loopy, but sometimes they will just flat-out refuse to take your animal to the back for tests and tell you to come back later while still charging you in full even if they didnt find or do anything, hence ridiculous pricing. safety of staff is number one priority of course, i wouldnt want them to be putting themselves into harms way, but its like theyre afraid of handling animals which is quite literally in their job description if theyre administering medicine/injections or checking the animal. staff will also provide unhelpful advice and arent very good listeners, and will talk down to you like you dont understand things or you arent taking their advice when theres still problems with your pet. staff do not have to care but they could at least pretend to care instead of being rude or downright weird about it. when going to this vet clinic, please look into more options that aren't affiliated with VCA if you are unsure of how they have diagnosed your animal, especially if you have senior or approaching senior animals. absolutely unreal.
