VCA Northern Animal Hospital - Closed

Id give zero stars if I could. Took my dog in for a normal checkup. They were holding him down so hard, I could hear him screaming in the back with the door closed. They handled him so roughly that they slipped a disc in my dogs neck. I got a second opinion on the injury and thats what the conclusion was. After that they denied doing anything, wouldnt let me or a lawyer look at the exam video when he was injured and purposefully blacked out the x rays for the second vet. Do not take your pets there.

No issues, everyone has always been extremely nice. The availability of later afternoon appointment times works great, so I haven't had to take time off work to bring our little guy Muenster there.

We relocated and decided to keep with VCA and found this one 25 min from us. Due to recent vandalism they require a call to check in and you to wait in your car with your pet. They dont allow more than 1 person into the clinic at a time. The only information communicated to us was to call to check in but that was so briefly mentioned and unemphasized I didnt think much of it other than to check in. I understand unfortunate events can happen to businesses but at least execute the communication to clients and their pets in better fashion. My bf and I make decisions together about or dogs vaccinations bc different veterinarians have different recommendations. The lack of organization was just baffling and I would not trust them to provide us with the right information. If you care about your pet I would not come here.

In all honesty, Ive heard some bad stories about VCA animal hospitals. So, with some trepidation I used VCA Northern because they were recommended by the agency that I adopted my dog (Julius) from. I could not be happier that I decided to use them. All of staff that I have interacted with thus far have been amazingly friendly and professional. Dr. Martin is AWESOME! She is so sweet and helpful. Im sure there are veterinary practices much closer to my home, but the service and staff at VCA Northern will keep me driving the 35 min each way to ensure that my dog is getting the best care.
