The staff is awesome they helped me and my husband out on our 1st visit ever. It seems to be quite and clean and again the staff is amazing they actually care about there first not just the money.

I wasnt expecting much from a 2 star hotel, but Red roof in should be ashamed to have their brand associated with this place. The room was absolutely filled with black moldin the bathroom from the leaking shower, and crawling up the wall between the a/c and the door. The floors were dirty and warped, probably due to the mold growing throughout the hotel. The bed was essentially a cot, the sheets were dirty. The room had obviously been broken into previously and poorly repaired. The room next door had a 4x4 pile of trash outside when we checked in, and it was still there when we left in the morning. Years and years of neglect. Armed security in the parking lot didnt put me at ease. I wouldve left if I had had any other option. No one should pay for this experiencelet alone more than $100 for the experience of getting sick from exposure to toxic mold. I dont know where the revenue from this hotel is goingcertainly not towards upkeep. Rooms: It did have four walls and running water, so at least theres that. Safety: Armed security in the parking lot did not deter unhoused folks from sleeping in the lot and the surrounding bushes. Noteworthy details: Its a health hazard.

The staff here is pretty awesome. They go above and beyond for their guests. Julie has been a sweetheart and the rest of the staff following her lead there. They have really been helpful in this time of our life where we are in a rough spot and trying to get life back on track. The room has been.what we.needed it.to be and we've had no issues. Keep rocking Hometowne Mcdowell!!
