I just drove all the way from Los Angeles and asked if there is early check-in, as I arrived 2 hours prior to the 3:00 p.m. check-in. The unprofessional female at the front desk (Gladys) informed me that they had plenty of available rooms, but it would cost me $110 to check in early. I have been driving for 7 hours, I need to go to work here in Phoenix at 4:00 p.m., and I will be driving back to Los Angeles overnight. I just needed 1 hour to rest and freshen up and I prepaid for a room. And they have the audacity to want to charge me $110 for getting here 2 hours early. The area is unpleasant and I would recommend you look at any other Hotel than this one. Gladys at the front desk would thrive working at the DMV because she has that attitude where she obviously has nothing but contempt for other people. She definitely needs an attitude check.

The room was decent enough for what I expected but the bathroom needed work & the shower leaked all over the floor. I made sure the cheap paper thin shower curtains were in the shower but it barely helped.
I asked for a late checkout for 12pm & was informed $35 would come out of the deposit so I declined.
At 831pm tonight (4/8), I called to inform them that I left my phone at checkout. The woman who answered said it would be locked in the managers office & that they were gone for the day. I asked if she could have them call me & she reluctantly said she could ask. I told her they should call me if they have my property. She started responding saying, well if you left your phoneas if to say it was my fault & not their problem. I asked for her name & she refused to give it.
Extremely unprofessional & untrustworthy behavior.
Also a lot of activity in the area. Its not far from downtown so it was not shocking but be mindful.

What made this hotel stay an awesome experience? THREE WORDS: JENNIFER, GLADIS, and HALEY!! By far, the best front desk service! I've stayed in many hotels around this glorious Earth: Barcelona, Paris, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Boston, London, Munich, etc etc...some of the finest hotels around; yet, none of them had the service that the Red Roof provided! Extremely professional all around. Pheonix is beyond lucky to have Jennifer, Gladis, and Haley! PAY...THEM....THE...MONEY! These three deserve the maximum pay possible; the highest rank possible in the hotel business. I can easily see them creating and running their very own hotel in Arizona, or anywhere on the planet! Red Roof is now our place to stay when in Pheonix. If you stay anywhere else that does not have these 3 as the front desk powerhouse, you're making a huge mistake. RED ROOF FOREVER!!!
