This doctor almost killed me!!! I've had chronic C. Diff and redundant colon and it went years undiagnosed under his so called 'care'! I was unable to digest most anything I ate, and was wasting away and in excruciating pain. After over a year of this, it began severely affecting my mental health after going through this dance of hopelessness for so long with no answers. They continued to gaslight and claim there was nothing wrong. staff in this office would make me wait an hour plus for my appointment AT EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT, then walk into the exam room, walk right past me, sit and play on the computer for 10 minutes without even acknowledging I was in the room and flat refused to listen to my issues. It was like pulling teeth just to get them to make eye contact. The blonde lady nurse practitioner, made a snide comment to me stating 'I just think you don't like the feeling of digestion' If you look at most of the positive reviews on here, they are all made by iether staff or other colleagues and those who are patients are all middle eastern which reveals that he discriminates and gives preferential treatment to others from the same country as him. This is unethical, and a conflict of interest. He should be investigated. They began talking about bowel resection surgery without running basic stool tests or considering fecal transplant. If you value your life, run as fast as you can from this clinic. There simply is no way to describe the feeling of your doctors giving up on you while your life hangs in the balance. They have unequivocally and undeniably betrayed their oath to do no harm. Also, I am seeing in some of the responses to negative reviews that he's got no problem violating hippa and publicly posting private medical issues from that patients chart.

Worse appt Ive ever experienced. I have medical issues and his student Dr had the nerve to ask me if I filled out the medical history. Who else would. He didnt introduce himself when he walked in. He went and sat down and said, so why are you here? He didnt care to hear the issues I was having with previous GI drs that I excused myself and walked out. I dont recommend him because his chair side manners are horrible.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because Dr. Ahluwalia is a very nice doctor. He ordered the proper tests and confirmed my original diagnoses. However, on my follow-up appointment I met with a different doctor, or perhaps nurse practitioner. She was very blunt. Not empathetic. She asked questions and did not let me finish answering before cutting me off. She told me she was going to prescribe a medication for treatment. I had to cut her off to inform her I am allergic to [said] medication, which is listed in my file. After discussing further she decided on surgery, did not give me info on it, did not ask me if I had any questions, or ask me how I felt about it. When my appointment was over she said, "well that's it." And walked out of the office saying one of the girls would get me scheduled for the surgery as well as another procedure. I requested a surgeon on my side of the valley. (The only reason I went to this location is because a friend recommended him). That was a week ago. I've called 4 times this week. Left messages. No one has returned my calls. I finally spoke with someone a few minutes ago and she asked if she could place me on hold while she looked into it. 27 minutes I sat on hold before finally hanging up. I will no longer be using this doctor as his staff has no consideration or the capabilities to follow-up or follow through.

2 stars because my procedure went well. But follow up had been a nightmare.Impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone or a call back. I was prescribed a "compound medication" that has to go to a specialist pharmacy. The pharmacy told me it costs $700+ without insurance. So I needed the doctor's office to provide the authorization, and the pharmacy sent that request over to them. I called the pharmacy a cpl of times and they said it's still pending with the doctors office. Giving them the benefit of doubt, I thought the delay was from the insurance company. After not hearing from anyone, I called them pharmacy again, same status. Called these guys, never got anyone on the phone, left several VMs, but got no call back. Finally I called the insurance company. They had already sent the authorization to the doctors office. So these guys are indeed the bottleneck in this whole twisted system. It still hasn't made it from the doctors office to the pharmacy (that they picked, mind you), for over 3 weeks now. My procedure as such went well, but just horrible follow up, and customer service

We are sorry that this is how you feel about your care. However, we believe there to be factual inaccuracies in this review.

We have researched and see that there was a two week delay for authorization by the insurance company and that a prescription was filled several days before your comments posted. Please let us know if there is anything else you need. We ask that reviews here are left soley for your experience with the physician. For office reviews, please use Advanced Gastroenterology Google reviews. This is a multi physician and location practice and some processes require coordination with various locations.
