The group is so friendly and helpful during your procedure. They always make you feel at ease. Dr. Burgess explains everything to you before and after the surgery I highly recommend this place.

My meeting with him was frustrating as he was constantly talking over me. When I was explaining my symptoms & thoughts he would speak loudly like he wanted me to know he was listening but all it did was interrupt me. Anytime I said something that he did not agree with, it was very obvious as he would loudly exclaim or make a very obvious face. Professionalism was non-existent & got to the point where I just shut up. It was clear he wasnt listening or didnt fully care so I just stopped talking. I essentially argued with him at the end of the session when requesting a medication other doctors had prescribed me & had done the research on. When he finally agreed, I left thinking Id never come back, but still happy he listened. I got a call a week later telling me the doctor decided to walk back our agreement & would be writing no prescriptions, even the alternatives he mentioned, & instead wanted me to power through my symptoms until they could get me in next month. I was disgusted.

Ive never encountered a doctor so unprofessional and rude. James literally walked out of his office on me while I was still speaking to him. He is very dismissive and therefore cannot be an encouraging advocate for his patients. James will tell you to your face that he doesnt believe you. He also made me feel uncomfortable when he asked me about past scars on my body which has nothing to do with my GI issues..

I am usually very happy with the staff and Dr. Burgess. I came in for a follow up appointment after being hospitalized. Unfortunately they didnt get all the records needed and the appointment was a waste of time. They rescheduled for 2 weeks out and am hoping they get all the needed information this time. I would really like them to cover my $50 copayment for the next visit. I dont think I should have to pay for their mistake.
