        I went here for a field trip back in 2007, or maybe 2008. I remember enjoying it and thinking it was pretty cool. Don't know if Riverbend, now Kaxdigoowu Hen Elementary, goes here or not, but it's well worth it!

        Great museum - beautiful building, impressive array of indigenous artifacts, culture, and history. Incredible craftsmanship in ancient ivory, beadwork, boats, and hunting implements. You will leave with a sense of admiration for indigenous ingenuity and culture.

      We love Kaxdigoowu Heen / Riverbend students!! Thanks for your nice review and memories. The "old" State Museum building was replaced by a brand new state-of-the-art facility in 2016, so please do come visit again. You'll see over 2,200 items on exhibit, and temporary exhibits as well. Thanks again!
