        If you have taken the tram up, the short hike to the cross shouldnt be missed. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to get there, along two possible easy paths - perhaps you could go up one and down the other, so you will get all the vistas. You will ascend from 1800 feet to about 2100. Bring binoculars, and also keep ears open for rustles in bushes. I heard and caught sight of a marmot and a porcupine.
