    Constant jackhammering noise throughout the day. Absolutely ridiculous. First year went fine, but it was a grave mistake to renew the lease! They have been working the construction/doing the same jackhammering/drilling for half a year now with no sign of completion. Management suggests the use of the clubroom, but there's no privacy/office ambiance to it because it feels like a break room for staff. We moved out of this apartment since July of 2023 and have yet to receive our deposit back. I've called and email many times and never got a response. I think the only choice I have at this point is to contact an attorney.

    I have pretty mixed reviews of living here for almost the last year. The pros are: proximity to basically everything you need, trails, dog parks, grocery stores, etc; $ value for the amount of space you get; and the concierge staff. Honestly, the concierge downstairs are probably the only reason why I continued moving in here in the first place and why I continue to enjoy, for the most part, living in the sofi community. The maintenance is also quick, kind and helpful. The cons: Our move in process was an absolute headache. Baring too many details, I ended up signing over 5 different leases to get basic information correct (didnt know I needed a degree in contract law to move here), didnt get to move in on the starting date of our lease due to zero communication from the office staff, and nearly got my car towed a handful of times because the office staff has no accountability of what spaces are available (again - thank you to the concierge for being available at midnight to give me new parking passes). The issue was rectified with the office, but the headache and frustration was not. Rose helped me through this, as did John (when he was still here), but the other staff was nothing but hostile. Most of the amenities have been shut down since about October (some opened up a week ago), one of two non-service elevators broke down for months, and the key fobs are finicky. The hallways and corridors ALWAYS smell like weed or dog pee/poop. There are frequent cleaners which is a plus, but the weed smell never goes away. The fire alarms go off often - this is trouble for leaving your dog in your apartment alone. Overall, I love my 10 windows and large space. I am happy to be able to park in a parking garage and (finally) have working amenities. I have not had an issue with bugs or rodents or dog poop/pee for longer than a day. And the concierge staff ROCKS. For real. Jessie is my dogs best friend, and him and the other two men never stop going out of their way to help you. The office/management company could use some work in timeliness, communication, and etiquette. So three stars if youre willing to deal with headaches moving in, one whole star of which is purely dedicated to concierge.

    I DO NOT RECOMMEND this building to anyone. Ive been living here since October 2023 and absolutely HATE IT, I cant wait for my lease to be over and move out. The assistant manager Rose is always rude and unpleasant to deal with. The hallways always smells like dog pee. People dump their crap next to the elevators for others to take, so ghetto. They dont have guest parking, however, people can park at the dentist & leasing office spots after 6pm but must move by 7am. They never told me upfront that I will have to pay for the package locker service so I found out after I moved in, what a scam. My previous building had a concierge and locker room and never charged extra for it. When I moved in, the apartment wasnt properly cleaned and had loads of thick black dust on the windows. They didnt change the old toilet seat used by the previous tenants so I had to ask for that to be replaced. The washer machine was old, moldy, and smelled disgusting; I had to beg them for a replacement and waited for 2 weeks to get it. A month after I moved in, the bathtub paint was peeling off. In order to repaint it, they said I have to be out of the apartment for two days due to the chemicals used but when I asked them to provide me with another unit or a hotel stay they changed their words and said I only need to be out for 8 hours. I didnt trust that and end up staying at my friends place for 2 days. Anyway, they end up spraying the tub AND the ceramic walls too? Why spray the walls, ? I dont understand, I didnt ask for that However, the paint started peeling off of the walls a week later. Such a terrible paint job, it looks worst than before they re-paint it. My first 2 months of living there, I had to physically go to the leasing office like 2-3 times a week to get hold of someone to fix all the problems I had because they NEVER answer the phone and when they do, they put me on hold forever. I give up on them and just bitting my time until I leave this horrible building.
