Not at all a pleasant experience when shopping for new homeowners and auto. Extremely short, unprofessional, and not helpful at all. But that should make the competitors happy.

I give GHM 5 stars, but this situation only gets 1 star and I cannot give zero stars. I switched our vehicles to GHM insurance and during the crossover process, I never received a bill and unknowingly was uninsured until I received a notice of insurance cancellation. I contacted GHM and asked to speak to anyone who could help. Well I was connected to 'the Joker' who thought the entire issue was hilarious! He absolutely laughed thru that conversation and subsequent conversations. I bluntly asked what the H*** was so funny? He didn't stop giggling. Totally unprofessional, I won't name names here, but when I do call, I request that I not be connected to 'the Joker". I will remain with GHM as the issue was quickly sorted out and coverage was reinstated.

We were with GHM for 8 years for home and auto. When our mortgage was sold to a new lender GHM did not:
1. make changes in a timely manner.
2. Pay escrow on time resulting in a cancellation notice on our home insurance.
3. Contact new mortgage company re: home insurance coverage AT ALL until they were contacted by us to question the issues. This was 3 weeks after GHM was notified of change and confirmed with us.
4. Wendy was nice enough to offer to call carrier re cancellation notice since we had escrow that was higher than premium. Martha took the phone from Wendy and stated they would do no such thing, they were done with my policy and SHE was canceling our policies effective 7/22.
When I followed up on 8/1 RE: cancellation since another withdrawal had come out of my account since then Martha informed me we needed to sign forms canceling. I again questioned the delay in notice and pressed for emailed docs to sign.
Once signed and confirmed receipt we were informed we would have out refund by 8/15 for cancellation effective 7/22. Martha stated I could call her on 8/15 but she expected another call would be unnecessary.
When follow up was done at 3:45 on 8/15 we were told everyone was on vacation, there was no one available but the check was mailed 8/11.
If you want to micromanage your insurance and pay extra for horrible customer service this is the place.
Our new agent is saving us over $30 a month on car insurance and our home premium is $100 less a year with better coverages.
Overall Martha's horrible attitude and performance saved us money by leaving this agency
