I am a retired Professional engineer and was the Deputy Director of the Engineering Division, and Department Head of Mechanical Engineering, at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I recently decided to move my phone service from ATT to T-Mobile and went with my wife to your store on Oak Grove Road in Walnut Creek California to make this change. The customer service and technical assistance that I received at this store from your employee Briel Patterson was of such high quality that I feel compelled to bring this performance to the attention of your company management. During my employment, I was required to evaluate employees and recognize outstanding performance where appropriate. I have rarely done this in retirement but feel I must in this instance.
We arrived at the store at 4:00 pm on Friday, February 3rd. and were served by Briel Patterson. We developed significant difficulty on opening our new account as we discovered our credit had been frozen by three credit agencies. This was done by me years ago following serious data breaches of personal information, so long ago I had totally forgotten about it. To unlock my credit it was necessary to contact all three agencies by phone and also to open online accounts. This was a very cumbersome process and extremely frustrating. It was necessary to make repeated calls when contact dropped out and endless menu selections that were hard to hear. During all of this Briel Patterson lead and guided us and managed to open our new T Mobile account. All the while she displayed a high level of technical competence, knowledge of required procedures, and problem-solving creativity. This day the store was scheduled to close at 6:00 pm but Briel Patterson and her supervisor Daniela stayed late, just for us, so we could complete the process.
I must also commend Daniela for the excellent training,
support, and supervision she has given Briel Patterson.
We left the store at 7:00 pm!
