Store permanently closed for good (& I mean for good). Also the plaza looks like an apocalypse now

Store very blighted in appearance especially inside but also out. Always filthy and in disarray. Windows were never cleaned in years. Front sign has 4 letters missing. Today the store appeared clean for once but quite empty. I asked if the store was closing and the clerk said yes and they were not sure why as the store is always busy. No signs to indicate the store is closing. Closing without any notice to the customers who support them. Shame on Dollar Tree for adding another empty store on 52nd St. Also they increased everything to $1.25. So many items can be purchased in the grocery store for less, especially the frozen food items. Companywide everything was raised to $1.25. 90% of what they sell are generic brands made in foreign countries where you would have to be desperate to eat these food products so this across the board increase was not necessary. I asked a clerk at another location if they saw their pay increase by the same percentage and they said no. So here you can see how inflation put's these minimum wage workers at a disadvantage as they used to be able to buy almost 8 items and now can only buy 6. The closing of Kmart may of hastened the store closing but they also operate Family Dollar who are equally sloppy and understaffed. I feel sorry for people who must work at these stores having to run registers and stock in between customers. Exploited employees and they source all their products from countries where the employees, sometimes forced labor are often exploited as well.

Good prices and have many good products. The 4 start is because they are always under staffed and the ones that is working hate to help the others check customers out

Cost me half than other places such as Party City. Bot the best quality, but no doubt about the best pricing.
