Rettungs Haus has been a godsend for my rescued GSD and I. I needed help with the training and rehabilitation of my pup, due to the terrible conditions he was subjected to before rescue, and Antoinette was one of the few trainers who either wasn't a treat trainer or a trainer who wanted to board and train my dog for several weeks and thousands of dollars.
Her wealth of knowledge and experience in handling all types of dogs really helped me become a better trainer and to address behavioural warning signs before they because a problem. The classes are worth every penny and you can tell she cares so much for all the dogs and achieving individual goals. The positive change in my dog is already so noticeable and I'm so happy to have found her when I did.
4/13/23 Update: I still go to class but have now put my other 2 dogs through training and both have greatly improved on their obedience and/or confidence since! I can't recommend this training program enough.

Antoinette understands dogs. She doesn't back away from naughty dogs, or dogs with various types of behavior that would not be acceptable at home or in public. She helps the dogs'owners learn how to train their dogs at home after the weekly classes. If you listen to what Antoinette tells you about training your dog, and you come to class understanding that Antoinette expects you to trust her, then your dog will progress quickly becoming the dog who trusts you and who follows your rules and expectations.
Here's an example of what Antoinette can do with an over protective dog who lunged at other dogs and people who walked too close to me, With a lot of work, my dog has become a much calmer dog. She can walk on the bike path with people passing us with or without dogs or on bicycles. She looks but doesn't react to them. I'm happy we found Antoinette because my 1 year old dog was asked not to return to the second session of training with a different trainer because my dog barked at every class throughout the whole course. That trainer told Antoinette that my dog was aggressive and dangerous. After a private session where Antoinette evaluated my dog, she concluded that my dog was not dangerous or aggressive. And Antoinette was right.

We had such a great experience with Antoinette and Rettungs-Haus Rescue! We adopted our beautiful German shepherd from this rescue about a month ago. They did such a great job training her. She loves her kennel and walks so well on a leash! We are also now taking classes through the rescue. I continue to be impressed by this great rescue. I highly recommend them if you want to rescue a dog or need lessons. We are so thankful to them for our beautiful pup!

Antoinette is fantastic trainer! She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her training. My dog and I have had nothing but a great experience with Rettungs-Haus. We both love going to training and being a part of the RH family; not only have I learned so much about being a handler, but I learned how to work with my dog and how to properly train him. We just adopted our second through RH and we are looking so forward to both of them going through the RH training and being a part of the RH family! Best decision we have made, hands down.
