image I would highly recommend Caring Transitions to anyone who needs help like we did in the whole estate sale process. They did an amazing job of cleaning out my fathers house and setting up and holding the sale. Their workers are so compassionate and understanding!

image Caring Transitions was a lifesaver for my family. We have had a major life event happen in our family that brought on many emotions. I decided it was time for me to move on from the Chippewa Valley. I had heard about Caring Transitions from a local support group and they were wonderful.
Roger came out to my home a few times and we worked out how things would work best. Roger and his staff were very flexible and handled many, unforseen tasks. I cannot thank them enough.
I highly recommend Caring Transitions!

image Caring Transitions of the Chippewa Valley was everything I had hoped in setting up an estate sale of our parent's home.  From the beginning with intake information to closing after the sale, Roger communicated with me via text, email and telephone - as I live out of state. He kept me informed every step of the way.  I knew this wasn't going to be easy, as my parents had a lot of "stuff" and it was much more than my siblings and I could ever imagine going through, to consider doing our own sale.  My encounters with Roger and staff prior to my returning home, was met with enthusiasm and respect of our parent's property.   My siblings and I were clearly informed of all processes of the sale and reviewed details prior to signing a contract. I highly recommend CT of the Chippewa Valley. Their professionalism and attention to detail exceeded my expectations.

image Bottom Line Up Front:I do not recommend working with Caring Transitions. They are not for you if you care for your mental health, or if you want to work with professionals who won't have flagrant disregard of your family and your possessions. We found them to have a careless approach towards keeping our belongings and our house safe and in their current condition. We were told and saw them gossiping around town about our house, us, and the belongings we hoped to consolidate and liquidate.  - I say this as I want to make sure that no one else is taken advantage of during their grief and that no one else has to experience what I have gone through this past summer. I hope that the management can learn from this experience and improve their service - as no one deserves to feel taken advantage of during an already tough time in their life.My advice do not work with these people, they are after your money. If you do decide to work with them, demand:1) to see the inventory list and pictures before they post them to ensure that they have not marked something for sale that is not meant to be or that you were unaware of being still in the house/apartment2) that they understand who is your family (they don't get to decide who is and is not your family), and that they must treat them with respect, and not expect them to have to pay for their own belongings that were stated as not for sale. 3) to see the adverts to ensure they state the correct date for the sale and correctly list what is for sale (and nothing is listed that is not for sale ref. Point 1). They charged us for advertising that gave the wrong date for the sale4) that they understand that you are hiring them to help you, that you are not signing over ownership of all your belongings for them to make a profit on. They often talked about how they wanted to either buy the stuff (so seemed to price it then too low) or stated that they thought things were "ugly" (and then priced things way too low) 5) that you get to see how much they are pricing objects for sale, and you can adjust when they are too low. They marked many objects way too low, including black hills gold jewelry that they priced at $1. We ended up with less than 20% of the sale and that didn't include the clean out. They lost items, gossiped around town about us, broke the garage door, and left cardboard boxes of books on the garage drain during a flash flood flooding the garage. No apology from them and no explanation.
