    Here is my letter to corporate as this is a franchise: Hello, I was "serviced" by the DePere location which from my understanding is a franchise. I called them to my house on two occasions for a sewer back up. The first time (a known issue/roots in the system) they were here was December 18th. They cleared the roots, I paid $270, everything was fine. Our second time was on January 10th which was a Sunday. The downstairs bathroom was backing up which is how we knew there was a problem the first time. Even though the location is listed as 24 hours, I called and there was no answer. I called every Roto Rooter location in the area and they all stated that the DePere location was the only location that could service me (despite being equal distance from my home). I called 7 times throughout the course of the evening into the late night while trying to clear my clogged drain. When I finally got a hold of someone the next day, they came out to service and he checked the other access points that the first technician didn't (red flag for the first visit). When I told the gentleman that he didn't check the access points, just the toilet main (which we had opened for them as a courtesy) he shook his head and said, "he should have checked these over here". He said he brought stuff back and was able to clear all the sewer lines except the one in the shower. I should not have paid as the gentleman was leaving before all the drains were unclogged. But without thinking and just eager to get my house in order, I paid another $270. He told me to get a pressure bag to clear the clog or he could do it but it would be another $200. Later that evening, January 11, I ended up having to call another plumber (for which I paid another $321) who came out and was able to clear it in under 45 minutes with the same tactics employed by Roto Rooter. My primary concern is that I paid Roto Rooter twice and was left with more issues and cost. First time due to a sewer back up and second time, to clear the clog (for what he assumed was the same issue). Then he left me with more problems than I started (the clogged shower drain was the issue the 2nd time) and it ended up costing me an additional $321 bill from another plumber. To add insult to injury, it caused my family and I a very hellish 36 hours in our home. I understand paying for services rendered which is why I am not necessarily asking for a refund of the second payment of $270 but I am asking for a refund for my time and energy from trying to unclog a drain for over 24 hours and because I ended up having to pay an entirely different company to fix the issue. I have receipts and dates of service. I am not sure who to talk to and was only able to get your name from a very friendly after hours operator. I would appreciate a call back to ensure that at minimum my concerns are heard as far as being listed 24 hours but not responding to an emergency call, nor any other Roto Rooter franchise being willing to assist in a time of need despite no geographical difference as far as drive times. When I spoke with the DePere office they did not seem concerned in the least about the 24 hour issue nor the exorbitant amount of money I paid to be left with the same issue.     Called to get an estimate. They came right out. Charged me for that appt, sent me an estimate to approve. I approved it and have not heard from them. Called multiple times, no call back. Finally husband got ahold of someone and they resent estimate, I again approved it and they still havent called to set up appt to come fix problem. I called again multiple times with no call back. Obviously now I'm finding someone else

    Would not recommend at all! Like a lot of other reviews on here they are terrible at giving you a time they will show up, even worse keeping that time. If you're not a man expect Keith to be very rude and dismissive of you. Even if he knows he's stuff, being a professional is not in his wheel house. The worst part is they will tell you they can do anything you need over the phone. Then they'll step into your house for 20 minutes tell you they can't do anything for you and hand you a bill for $200! I don't know how they even have the guts to do that to a person! And if you read other reviews I'm not the only one they couldn't help. They have a national name, but not national service. Do yourself a favor and get a really plumber in your house. Trust me you wont regret it!
