I was surprised how many ways Cougar Mechanical disappointed me during my interaction. Our air conditioner went out two days ago and we call them as they did the service of the HVAC before we purchased the house, less than a year ago. (They even sent us a card to remind us of servicing a few weeks ago, and they didn't even have our names correct on it. No attention to detail.) The guy found the issue and said he could easily fix it in just two days as all he had to do was replace the blower motor. I get a call the next day from their office saying that actually the motor will cost as much as a full replacement. I confirmed I wanted an estimate for both and they said they would have it to me later that morning. A day passes so I call them and they said "Oh they will get that to you in 15 minutes." Six hours later, still no call. Finally, I get a call from a guy who says he has to come out again and get more information before he can get me an estimate. So which is it: Can you have it fixed in two days? Can you have an estimate yesterday? Can you have an estimate today in 15 minutes? Or do you need to come out and get more information for an estimate? Absolute garbage communication and through their teeth lying. What went from "We can have it fixed in two days" has become not even getting an estimate in two days. Look at other sites for reviews and you will see that they do this frequently.

My husband and I inquired about Mitsubishi air and had put in a request on Mitsubishi’s website for more information. A different/local HVAC company reached out and was extremely rude and didn’t seem like they wanted my business. I then received an email for Cougar Mechanical asking about my inquiry and the assistant immediately set up a consult. Tyler came out and was very respectful answered my questions and explained it would be more cost effective to replace my furnace since I had forced air and instal an AC unit. He gave me a quote and explained my options and then explained their financing options. When the techs came out to install my new furnace and AC they were very respectful. My biggest thing is they were nice to my kids. They didn’t seemed bothered by the constant questions has they walked in the door and if they were they didn’t show it. They smiled and answered the questions. They were even understanding of the fact I had to work and my husband might fall asleep on the couch (he works graves) and to have the kids wake him up if they needed him. It was a weird request but they were cool with it. Anyway rant over I would highly recommend them if your looking to get any HVAC work done. We also now have the correct furnace size for our house!
