O'Brien Garage Doors

Called them for a maintenance that was advertised for $49.5. My door balancing was not proper. Obrien technician came on time asked me what the problem was, I told him want to do an annual maintenance and I felt the door balancing was bad. He immediately just turned around and said spring is broken and need $1200 to fix it. Also he recommended changing the system to a new one which costs $1350. When I said I need time to think about it, he gave me a receipt, charged me $51 (including tax) and went away. I wish he was courteous enough to atleast lubricate and service the garage door....in and out in less that 10 mins....

A friend of mine needs a motor Replaced on their garage door. In effort to help them I have been looking for a reputable company to go to their home and do the replacement. Researching companies comes with reading reviews about them from their prior customers. Occasionally customers will misunderstand or become concused on information that they don't quite fully understand and post not so Savory reviews.... and occasionally you will get technicians who really don't know what they are doing which seem to be the case in many of the negative reviews for this company. The greater offense is not the uneducated or unexperienced technician but the comments that have been written back to these customers from the apparent company management. You seem to throw your shortcomings back on your customers putting the blame and fault on them. An obvious and very unprofessional sign of incompetence from leadership on down. Shame on you! You own everything that happens in your company from your technicians on up and to repeatedly blame and throw it back on the homeowner is insulting.. your price gouging and insulting of your customers will eventually be the demise of your company.... it's very sad that you even go as far and digging into their personal histories and other reviews that they have posted. What kind of show are you running?

Super pleased with the response time, integrity, knowledge and fair pricing from O'Brien. There are many others out there that are fly by night and changing phone numbers every day. These guys are real and I recommend them.

Super expensive. We connected to O-brien to repair lower wheel of our garage door that came off track. The technician did not show up on first day, and have not even given a call for no show. We called next day again and he shown up finally. He did the job quickly and replaced some parts, but the charges were super high. As we were in inconvenience for 5 days, we don't want to wait for more quotes and just got this done.
