Is this in the backrooms of Seattle? Yes. This is in an old mall in Seattle that's 3/4 abandoned and empty. The only heart of that building is now Din Tai Fung where you can have the best dumplings on the West Coast. My partner and I showed up without a reservation. It waw a small wait to sit at the bar. I would have liked to see plates of (12) dumplings in stead of (10) but that's because I'm paying $15 for an order. more than $1 per dumpling is a sad reality but worth every penny if you're looking for damn good dumplings and a bit of an experience. Come hungry and ready to spend $60 per person on dumplings, apps, and drinks.

It's good but it's overhyped for most of the dishes. Noodles was my favourite, mix well with the sauce to get the best taste. Even though the noodles and wonton dish looks red, it's only mild. Meat xiaolongbao and dumplings were average in my opinion. However, the chocolate and mochi xiaolongbao was surprisingly good. Something about warm desserts just sits right with me. Cucumber salad was a hard pass. Nothing wrong with the taste I just expected more than garlic, sesame oil, and chili oil for some reason (probably because it's extremely overpriced). Overall, I recommend to try it at least once to get the experience yourself (plus their mascot is cute).

Been to many in different cities but not Seattle. As impressed as ever. I still think the best tasting is in Taiwan but still very good. Family ordered green beans, Xiao Long Bao, fried noodles, fried rice, and black sea some buns. All very good. Service was perfect. We got lucky with no wait just before 6 on a Monday.

Very tasty food and great service. Everything seemed to have turned down the spice and other flavors to be more mild. Everything was good and I'd order it all again, but spicy wasn't spicy, szechuan peppers didn't leave your mouth numb or tingling, etc.
