Effective, fair, moral, patient, kind, & understanding. You cant go wrong hiring Kevin I honestly never thought Id need the services of a lawyer, so writing a review for one was not an expected thing Id ever do. Battling severe depression/(unbeknownst to me at the time until then, PTSD) from my time in the military. Getting divorced was the last thing I expected to happen to me, but here it was. A friend knew I couldnt afford a divorce lawyer & helped me get one. He asked me, asked me, Do you want a cut throat lawyer, or a moral one? I asked for a moral lawyer, & he made some calls & got me on the phone with Kevin. Kevin was very concise with his explanations while also comforting to me. I dont remember everything Kevin said on the phone that day, but I remember two things. He told me something along the lines of how he hated being a divorce lawyer for the first decade or so of his life, until he found a way to do his job without compromising his morals/values. And he told me, I want this process to be a safe place for you, and I also want it to be a safe place for (exs name). The moment he said that was the moment I knew for sure that Kevin was the right lawyer for me. Ive only heard of & been warned that divorce gets ugly, and I couldnt have worked effectively with a lawyer if they had too different of an approach or perspective as me, and I needed whoever was with me, to understand that I wanted to minimize any hurt or suffering for both my ex & me; and Kevin did exactly that. Even when I felt the other party was behaving in a less than ideal or considerate way, Kevin was assertive & tactful in dealing with them even when falsely accused. He provided beyond my expectations, a balance of professionalism while genuinely caring for my well-being & concerns at the same time. I was complications with payments for his services, & he was incredibly understanding & above and beyond considerate for my situation I am very sensitive & emotional, and Kevin always handled our conversations well. He acknowledged my pain & distress, but effectively guided our conversations to help calm me so we could get our conversation on with process so he wouldnt have to charge me more money for non-stop crying & such He even wore pastel pink on the days wed meet in person, and I remember he said he had a feeling he should wear it the first time, and wore it each time after that when wed meet. I know that may seem like a small thing to some people, but it is my favorite color, and his thoughtfulness in doing that really touched me, & made me feel important.
