For all of you VW T3 affecionados out there, I'd like to give a serious review of appreciation to Austin and his team of experts at Small Car Performance. Austin and team at SCP continue to provide well engineered and thought out solutions for the T3 + community. Many seemingly impossible obstacles have been thoroughly fleshed out for us that are performing upgrades to our T3's. SCP is approachable, available, and incredibly knowledgeable on any problem I've had thus far. They're fantastic! Keep up the magic SCP!

Small Car Performance performed a Subaru swap into my father's 86 Westfaila Syncro. They did a phenomenal job. Their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They performed some diagnostics and recommendations that we were hoping to receive. Their expertise shows in their high quality of work.

I would DEEPLY question Small Car's reviews.  I wrote this review after the most horrific experience one could experience with a mechanic, and somehow they got it deleted.  So here it is again:We took our van to them for a hard start problem.  A simple problem for our subaru ej22 powered 1987 Westy.  They insisted it could cost $10K to sort out, and that we should just sell them our van. When we didn't want to sell them our van, and after paying $1200 for work we didn't even ask for, the owner pushed it into the street so the tow yard across the street would impound it.  The dispatcher told us that the owner of the tow yard and the owner of small car are friends so small car could now buy our van from the tow yard.  THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED.  We have it all in texts and e-mails, plus the receipts from the tow yard.So our van was brought to someone honest and guess what?  Our hard start problem was a $164 fuel pressure regulator that took a half hour to fix.

Look Sir,After my van was verified by a truly professional mechanic (Maxxed Performance) Here are the results of the poor job performed by Small Car Performance:1-Radiator defective- bleeding screw threads are bad and it was continuously leaking. Are you kidding me? I wasted my money in a bad radiator? 2-Radiator hose Clamp loose and wrongly installed.3-Alternator/A/C belts loose.4- One screw missing from A/C compressor.5-Horn disconnected when steering wheel was pull out.6-Speedometer cable loose from speedometer and pinched behind the dash. Of course it broke!Those are exactly the parts that your mechanic touched or disconnected. It was Not cause because it's an old van.Please find better mechanics or perform better quality control in your shop. Definitely NOT Recommend.
