Four Points by Sheraton Richmond Airport

We reserved one night here before our trip and one night after. The shuttle took us to the airport but on the return shuttle wasn't running. Bernard was always smiling and wonderful and apologized for the shuttle and gave us breakfast. It was good. Our car stayed for 3 weeks and was fine. I would do this again in the future if needed.

The room was clean. But the toilet paper holder was installed incorrectly. The hot water in the sink, you had to hold the base and turn the handle to get it to work. The microwave was at an outlet that didn't work, so I had to drag the entire table over to another outlet. Weird layout for the hotel, my window overlooked the indoor pool. Rooms: Multiple issues with things working in the room. Room was clean Walkability: Small shopping center next to it. Wouldn't recommend walking further.

Hotel room was totally fine and the front desk staff was friendly enough. They do have an airport shuttle which was convenient. The bartender was rude though so definitely wouldnt recommend the hotel bar.

The rooms were very clean and the staff was kind. Only about 15 minutes from the convention center!

The hotel is great for a shorter stay, anything longer, I would stay somewhere else better. I had a lot of issues with my rooms and had to stay for 12 nights for a worktrip. It's located about a 9 minute drive from the airport, and there is a free airport shuttle you can request from the hotel. I stayed in two different rooms, both king rooms. Upon entering my first room, I was placed on the first floor next to the pool. I had an issue with it because of all of the noise, I tried asking front desk to change it but they said the hotel was completely sold out. Luckily the pool closes at 7pm so I was able to get undisturbed shut-eye. Unfortunately the room is right next to the maintenance room, so it got pretty noisy in the mornings. The shower head was broken, it was an unpleasant surprise turning it on because it just spurted out everywhere from the base. I was able to get it fixed the next morning. On the 6th night, upon coming back to the hotel near midnight, the fire alarm starting chirping. How ironic for a room next to the maintenance room, I wonder if they even do routine checks on the fire alarms. :/ I had to go to the front desk again, and since it's past midnight, no maintenance staff were available, understandably. I stated I wouldn't be able to sleep with it constantly chirping and I was able to get a room change. Luckily I was able to get the room directly across, so even though moving all of my stuff past midnight was a pain, it was much easier. Also, the bed was much more comfier than the last room! I think it was a different mattress. The walls are pretty thin. On last two nights, the room next to me was playing loud movies at 1AM, I tried calling on the hotel phone and it didn't work. I had to call using my cell to make a noise complaint, luckily within 30 minutes or so it finally stopped. I'd be aware of housekeeping, I had a colleague have her $100+ left in her room after taking it out of her pockets, and it was gone when she came back. Don't leave out anything valuable. Otherwise, housekeeping was usually prompt with cleaning every other day. Although they skipped one day for some reason, I had to put in a request for the next morning. No free continental breakfast, which is disappointing. They do have a restauraunt on the first floor that serves breakfast, and there is free coffee and tea in the lobby. Staff were very friendly whenever I had to ask them for a request. Since this is an airport hotel, it's further away from downtown, and it's a bit inconvienent jay walking across the street just to get food or to Publix. The staff were very kind and offered me a shuttle ride to Publix instead when I was asking what the best way to walk there was.
