Quality Inn & Suites

My husband and I are Choice Hotels members and so we always seek out one of their hotels when travelling. We recently attended a friend's wedding in Richmond and the hotel where the room block was extremely expensive. The Quality Inn just had an unbeatable price. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was only about a 10 minute drive or Uber from the downtown area, and the area is very quiet. The location looks unsafe, but I can assure you we felt very comfortable in the area. Also, I was impressed by how large our room was. You could easily fit a Pack and Play of travelling with small children.

A one step above being a true dive. There was a homeless family crashing in the lobby on the day I checked in. The elevators were old and rickety. On check out day one.broke down and there are only 2. The key cards didn't work. The parking lot was dark and obscured from.viewing from anywhere in hotel or any room. The parking lot steps were old rusted metal steps painted over but in need of repair.the inside steps were dark and smelled of cigarette smoke. The.breakfast was good and the ladies were nice in the mornings. To top off my wonderful experience the receptionist refused to give me any type of receipt.

Stayed here for 5 days during USAT TAEKWONDO NATIONALS. Room was ok, no complaints. But, location, so called breakfast and that rickety old elevator were the ABSOLUTE WORST!! Normally, when we do stay at the Quality Inn it's quite decent but I have to say management at the corporate and or consumer relations level, really need to look into seriously upgrading this facility.It's quite out dated. And also, some of the staff members could use customer service skills training because moral sucks and they take it out on customers. That's not cool. So, this is one we took for the team,! Lol! Oh, great, parking looks like they are sharing with the low end factory or whatever that I'd next to the property. It also smells of urine back there and it's park at your own risk. This isn't..."you get what you pay for." In this case, we should all be given credit on future bookings just for surviving! Yeah, I got jokes...But seriously!
