I recently had the pleasure of using C&F Bank for the purchasing of my family’s new home. There were many complications related to our buyers selling their home but Tyler Yeatman, our C&F loan officer, managed everything seamlessly. Tyler is personalable and very professional. He wrangled all of the realtors, loan officials and closing agencies in our mixed up domino effect of buying and selling. He got everyone to work in unison to close on our new home despite the extenuating circumstamces. I’m a local small business owner, husband and father of three and without a doubt I would advise anyone to use C&F for their mortgage needs and especially Tyler Yeatman.

Would not recommend this bank for people with a low budget. After being told multiple times that I couldn't add my second job or my fiance job to the adjusted income on a usda loan. I had to find another morgage company to work with. USDA even states on thier website. No it doesnt count as primary, but anyone 18 years or older moving into a house with me. Their income has to be caluated as adjustable income. Family or non family. During the application proccess. Witch would make the debt to income ratio favour income to debt. Every property I asked about they kept saying it was to far out the loan wouldnt accept it. Also when i asked for clear definition for qestions i had. They would not provide clarified information making the whole ordeal frustrating. I find it very disappointing that they kept asking me for proof of this proof of that. I need a statement for this, i need a statement for that. Yet they cant even read simple guidelines for the loan application per USDA in the how to calculate income chapter.

My husband and I recently used C&F bank as a lender during our home buying process and would highly recommend working with Peter Hall, our loan officer! He helped us to get pre-approved and, once our offer was accepted, he worked with us to get the loan. The process was so much simpler than our previous experience. Additionally, he talked over all of the numbers and details to ensure that we understood what our down payment, monthly mortgage payment, and other financing would look like. He worked closely with the realtors, our homeowner's insurance broker, loan officials, and the settlement offices on both sides of the transaction (we sold a home simultaneously), and made sure all was in order. In fact, he would provide us with regular updates on the process without any prompting. It was comforting to know that everything was still on track. Peter was also very quick to respond to any questions and was incredibly knowledgeable about the whole process. We felt in good hands and would definitely work with him again in the future.
