Cedarfield is a beautiful facility, but it is horribly managed. My mother entered the assisted living/memory care neighborhood, Morning Glory, with the promise she could remain there and transition to nursing/healthcare when the time came. She was given 30 days to leave in May of this year. The reason given was a failed cognitive assessment, that she had scored poorly on at rehab facility 2 years ago. The manager of the neighborhood also said she wasnt participating in enough activities, but the report we were given on her exit stated she participated in 89-95% of the activities since she arrived. She fell outside on Christmas Eve last year, in sub freezing temperatures, after getting through doors that should have been secured. I was contacted by a staff member to let me know she had fallen, but the fact she was outside was not disclosed. This was the first and only time I was contacted. I live 90 minutes away, and my sister who resides 5 minutes from Cedarfield was not contacted. She is the primary contact and was at home at the time. My mother had another fall a few months later in the same outdoor courtyard which was again not locked as it should have been. Cedarfield is a lovely community when you are independent and can take care of yourself, but its not a place I would recommend you send your loved one if they need assistance with everyday tasks. I sleep better now that she is in a wonderful facility across town with adequate staffing and caregivers who are caring and compassionate.

I have been working at Cedarfield since 2016 and have had wonderful experience. The residents and team members are very welcoming and it is a pleasure to come to work every day. The natural beauty of the 95 acre campus is breathtaking.
