Family Tree Care

I have used Family Tree Care in the past, and when a major tree limb broke and landed on our roof, Jim was the first person I thought to call. This was a Saturday, and even though he was physically 4 hours away when I called, he came over that evening to make sure the broken tree was stable. He came back the next day to take the broken portion off our roof, even though it was raining. He came back a third time to finish trimming and shaping the tree to encourage re-growth. He worked solo, and was meticulous in planning the work. It was amazing and fun to watch him use ropes to climb the tree as well as rope and dismantle tree limbs, taking everything down without damage to the house, fence, etc. Jim is extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Family Tree Care!

I have used this company twice and rate them the best. They always show up when they say they will, they are very careful in all they do and Jim, the owner , a delight to talk to. I only have great things to say about this company.

I had a very large branch that was hung about fifty five feet up that was directly over my shed and several small trees and bushes. There was only one way to bring the branch down without damaging anything. Jim spent 4 hours planning and preparing before cutting anything. He then spent the next 2 hours cutting the hung up branch along with several other limbs. The hung up branch landed exactly as he planned and nothing was damaged. My final thought: If you have a situation where there is no room for error (as in my case), pick the outfit that takes the time to do careful planning before making a cut.....and take a close look at Family Tree Care of Fairfax. I have used Family Tree Service for many years to prune my trees. I have two huge Tulip Poplars that need to be maintained because they are over my house. Family Tree Service comes when they say, do an outstanding job, and clean up everything -- I can't even tell they were here except that my trees don't drop branches when we have a big storm and/or high winds. They took down a huge oak that fell on my neighbor's house many years ago and removed another large tree from their property. I wouldn't use any other company. Service: Tree trimming and pruning
