Best Chipractor/Physical Rehab Doctor I have been too, Dr. Oana doesn't just pop your back and send you on your way, she teaches you workouts that strengthen the issue area and how to not cause the issue in the first place. She analyzes every aspect of my day to day life/work life habits and then tells me what I need to change. Great clean office with awesome staff! Never waited more than 2-3 mins for my office visits.

Dr. Oana Balasa is very professional with an extremely caring and friendly personality. Usually when you go to Physical Therapy it is something you dread because it is usually painful, but with Dr. Balasa there is no pain. When she massages and works your muscles they feel good during and for days afterwards. She also makes sure that she gives you well understood exercises to do at home. Before you know it, she is cutting back on your sessions and you are feeling much better. There are many Physical Therapists much closer to me, but Dr. Oana Balasa is well worth the extra drive. I am glad that my friend recommended Dr. Balasa to me. Thank you Oana!

I am grateful that my neighbor recommended Physical Therapist, Oana Balasa to me. I have serious spine problems and have had four surgeries. I have lived in several countries and been treated by other physical therapists but have never had such expert care. Oana explains the problems using medical drawings so you can understand exactly what is causing the pain and what can be done to help. She is also very encouraging and positive and watches so that exercises are done in the most beneficial manner. Although physical therapy is still work, I must admit I look forward to my PT appointments, feel better afterwards, and know I will continue to improve with her help.

Having endured chronic lower back pain for many years I’d all but given up hope of feeling better again and returning to normal activities. My condition had deteriorated to such a degree that even getting out of a chair was a painful experience, and upon standing it typically took several minutes for my back to equilibrate sufficiently to allow me to walk. Over the years I’ve consulted several neurosurgeons, one physiatrist, and numerous chiropractors. The surgical diagnosis was pretty much always the same: my discs have deteriorated, I’m getting older, and oh yea, take these pain pills. My condition wasn’t bad enough to warrant surgery, but it nonetheless imposed severe restrictions on my ability to move in a normal manner without pain. The physiatrist told me that I could be injected with cortisone to provide some relief but only during an inflammatory episode. By the time I could schedule a treatment, the pain had subsided, so I opted to forgo this approach. Meanwhile the chiropractic treatments offered only temporary relief at best. At worst, the treatments were often entirely ineffectual, being highly dependent on the practitioner. I resigned myself to my debilitated state until recently when a friend recommended an amazing physical therapist who had helped her enormously. That therapist was Doctor Oana Balasa at Fitness and Rehabilitation. I began to see Dr. Balasa in December 2015, and continued therapy with her for a period of approximately five months. At first, my condition allowed only the most limited range of motion, but gradually, over time, I have regained most of my full range of activities without pain. Dr. Balasa has provided me with a paradigm for movement to minimize my risk of re-injury, and her coaching has helped me enormously. I feel that I have finally begun to live a normal life again and owe so much of my recovery to one person, Dr. Oana Balasa.
