I am a very picky person when it comes to eating out. For whatever reason I went in despite my gut feeling. I don't know..I was hungry and its a Friday night and the place was the least packed of the restaurants in the area. When we got there it was my family and 2 others in the restaurant. The service was extremely slow considering the lack of customers. While waiting for our food my daughter says "ewww, look behind you mom"....so I did, and what did I see crawling on the blinds behind me???? A roach, and not the big old waterbug types that are just about everywhere in San Antonio...no, this was the nasty German cockroach just crawling around. At this point I should of gathered my family and split, but noooo decided to stay and eat. Well the food arrived and first of all my enchiladas were horrible. Literally they fried a corn tortilla (to the point it was crispy) and folded it...forgot to put cheese inside. They were so hard that I was given a steak knife to cut them (I have NEVER been given a steak knife with an order of cheese enchiladas). I went to try my rice and it was close to being cold. My borracho beans looked as if they had been sitting out for days. My husbands plate didn't look or taste (according to him) much better...and he will eat anything! Kids had chicken strips and fries...kind of hard to screw that up. So all is said and done. Made complaint to the owner...who speaks no English and had to have a kid translate...and they offered to give us coupons for future visit. Uh, no...we will never be visiting that place ever again...in fact after this outing we are taking a break from eating out at all. It is a shame how people can open up restaurants when they have no concept of how a restaurant should be run.
