I used Carlo about six years ago. He painted the outside of my older business (three buildings out of a total of seven) and the inside and outside of a five-year lease new business that I opened in January 2015. That business was 6,500 square feet and had a bell tower. I felt like I was harassing Carlo because I was calling him repeatedly just to get a bid on the painting of the older business first. He was either going to Mexico on one call. He had a flat tire on his trailer on another call when he was heading out of town. It was several calls I know. Carlo assured me when he got back to San Antonio that he would give me a great deal for inconveniencing me, which he did! He gave me a great price on the older business. The newer business I know I spent close to $30,000.00 because it was a lot of detailed work, intricate sharp cutting of colors, I had to order a boom so they could paint the bell tower, and they did an amazing job! I was basically putting lipstick on a pig. The landlord was a slumlord witch that I came to hate two weeks after signing my five year lease. The building was badly maintained and I couldn't wait till my lease was up! I got her back big time at the end of the lease!
I'm currently looking to repaint my seven buildings at the older location, as I like to upgrade and beautify my business every five or so years. I thought about Carlo but I then remembered we didn't end well back in 2014. Now the workers that he had were very good back in 2014. ALL CARLO WOULD DO WAS SHOW UP TO COLLECT DRAWS! At the end of the the new business job, of course his workers were tired, and it started showing. On the last two rooms inside, I could tell that they didn't clean the rollers out all the way, so the paint was cross-contaminated in the lighter of the two rooms with the darker color. By then, Carlo had probably drawn 90% of the total money for the job.
Of course he had moved on to new jobs and I couldn't get him back to make right on the lighter room that was cross-contaminated and the overspray on the glass at the main entrance. He forgot that he had left one of his old sprayers, an extension ladder, and some other items I can't recall right now. I just remember, I had to go buy new paint and paint the lighter room myself. After about a month, he texts me that he needed to come pick up the items he left. I told him that he needed to come make right on what he didn't do and give me my receipt for my write-off, then I would return his left behind items.
In ending....he didn't return and I trashed his painter, ladder, paint cloths, brushes and whatever else he left. So he is very unprofessional but his workers did do a great job painting my business. So based on the review from two years ago, he hasn't changed, and his good workers have left him! I've learned to just buy my own materials and try not to give any contractors money up front. If you have to....be sure to hold on to the last 30-40% of the money for insurance to insure they finish the job. It would be wrong for me to give him one star but I definitely wouldn't use him again. His workers then did a great job so I give him three stars. Services: Interior decorating, Exterior decorating

This is not a well run company. The owner, Carlo, is unorganized and very deceptive. He will do all he can to cut corners and go out of his way to do things incorrectly. He seems like he has not a clue of what standard procedure is regarding basic paint jobs. He is unreliable and very shady. His employees complain of how he’s a fraud and owes them several weeks worth of pay. The workers that show up to job sites are inconsistent and it seems like a revolving door of employees. I do not blame those workers for quitting on him. He is not a man of his word and he has little integrity. He will tell you how he “may be dead tomorrow” and how he has no money. Usually, when you hear that, it means that he will take your money and run, which is exactly what he did to me.

I had my two story house painted by this company in 2009 and spent for a mediocre work. Some parts of the house was not primed and rotted wood trims was not replaced. My contract indicated that they would replace any rotted wood trim around exterior windows windows but was not done, instead it was heavily painted to avoid any recoginition of the rotted wood. I had to point out on several occations of what wasn't done. This company was highly recommend by my co-worker only to be disappointed by the final quality of work.
