To start off, I only switched to this office because my primary care doctor passed away. This place is the perfect example of what you get with Medicaid. I’ve had 4 appointments over the span of 6 weeks and have just received my diagnosis. I explained to Dr. Hao Shen I have had chronic pain in my shoulder since last August. He doesn’t greet you, is extremely standoffish, and just sits down at his computer and waits until you speak. He doesn’t say what can I help you with today, or anything at all. Anyways, then he referred me for an x-ray. Yeah whatever call it protocol but obviously I had no broken bones. Goes for x-ray, comes back a week later for follow up, says my x-ray was normally. Well, yeah I expected that. I explain my shoulder is in a lot of pain so I need an MRI. He was reluctant to order the MRI. After convincing him I needed it, he refers me. I got my MRI results and the MRI place even forwarded me a copy of my report. Today I go for the follow up with him for the MRI. I have a torn muscle and impingement. He sits down, like usual and doesn’t say a word. Finally he said how’s the shoulder. I said well not good considering I have a tear, he didn’t know what I was talking about and said he never saw the MRI report. I explained to him I age the fax confirmation that he did in fact get it, and I have a copy of the report myself. So he puts in my report today that he’s going to refer me to an orthopedic doctor, but MRI results still pending. Makes no sense at all. I tell him today that I have an extremely sore throat, and that I’m very fatigued. I’m prone to sinus infections, gives him more background info, and he says he’ll give me Zyrtec. ??? I can do that on my own. He never looked in my mouth, throat, ears, nothing. Borderline negligent. Another wasted day and hours of my time. I pray that he refers me outside of the university health organization so that I don’t have to deal with him any longer.

Every time I come here I have to wait an excessive long time. It was three years since the last time I’ve been here and another time I just left after two hours. When I called to make the appointment I specifically asked where do I go to sign in because it’s never the same and you could be in the walking around in a maze and no one know nothing. Got there went to the one area to be sent to another area on the first floor. That was a wasted twenty minutes. I became so frustrated to see everyone go in before me to be told they are seeing another provider. Heard that before. Sat for another long time. I went to my car to look for my phone to call my insurance provider for another option. Unfortunately I did not have my phone. I only stayed because I really needed an X-ray referral for a possible injury to my hand. I won’t need to go back even after I get the result. I’ll just see the hand specialist. I have been well and healthy. I wanted to talk about other health concerns but I just couldn’t. I will continue to see Dr. Google and Dr. YouTube for any medical concerns. I would have given zero stars.
