SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Antonio Airport

The breakfast was great. We liked the quick check in and out. The location is very close to the airport.

Way over priced. Pool wasn't opened as advertised. Rooms were just like motel 8 . No room service. No maid service. And when we left we gave them the towels when we got back at 1 a.m. still no towels. Had to wait until the morning. Breakfast wasn't worth the early wake up.

This hotel has its limitations, like most airport hotels at this price level, but has the friendliest staff and management Ive had in a hotel in years. In addition to taking the time to genuinely get to know guests, they also will use the airport shuttle to drive you in the immediate area (its not super walkable), and offer a margarita happy hour for guests on weekdays. I usually keep to myself on work trips, but me and several staffers knew each other on a first name basis after three days lol. They truly will go the extra mile for customer service, which to me negates the shortcomings of the location or hotel quality. On that note, request a westward facing room if youre a light sleeper. In addition to planes (noticeable but not terrible), there are trains and a doggy daycare next door to the east. Its fun to watch but they start barking at 8 am lol

I had to switch rooms 3 times due to BED BUGS & ROACHES in the 1st room. 2nd room had ants everywhere. 3rd room had ROACHES and HAIR. I will NEVER book at this location again. The front desk Ashley was rude! Also, the manager Hilda didnt do anything about the inconveniences, and all I was told is she was unavailable. This hotel is TRASH, so I left. & If I had to guess the entire staff definitely uses drugs!

After diverting to san antonio for weater.. My first officer and i made reservation while still at aircraft. When we finally arrived at 430am the night shift attendent refused to rent us cause she completed ner night audit at 3am. She refused to find us rooms that were available and did even offer alternative sister properties. Asked her to cancel my reservation and she said she would but never did.But we were free to sit in her lobby for a 3pm check in. Being a titanium elite member i was shocked at this response. 30 minutes later we were told to come on over to the courtyard Marriott and they welcomed us with open arms. Thankfully to the graciousness of the hotel van driver Ranaldo he drove us to the Marriott property and apologized all the way there. I contacted the manager when we awoke and we were told she would take care of the issue. I have never run into a problem with this kind of situation at any other Marriott properties. I was totally surprised and disgusted with this night persons actions.
