Christus Santa Rosa Hospital on Babcock was terrific. My husband had a very difficult surgery on 03-28-24. All hospital personnel, nurses, and Dr's treated my husband and myself with the utmost respect, kindness and courtesy. I would recommend them in a heart beat to anyone needing surgery.

The worst staff members ever don't come here very rude they gossip in groups they waste your time and discharge you from the hospital without a real reason too only to give you some sort of stupid reason because they are lazy workers that don't really want to do their jobs and because they lack empathy I hope these people working there can do a better job in future with taking people's medical conditions very serious instead of discharging them for the hell of it. But it's okay rejection is God's Protection and I'm happy they discharged me I certainly don't want heartless human being handling me I have to much love for myself to deal with nonsense from a bunch of unconscious know it all doctors. I have systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis it's a real pain I needed my fmla paperwork done they were not understanding said no and that they did not have my medical records anymore and they discharged me from the hospital don't go here only mean people running the building.

I'm extremely disappointed in the care that my father received here. He was here two weeks, pretty much had no choice as he was put in a wheelchair and brought over from his Dr. office. He went in with pneumonia......while there had a small heart attack, went in to acute kidney failure (was onset from the pneumonia) developed fluid outside of his lungs. Had switch to wearing depends, due to be so weak and hooked up to IV, oxygen and heart monitor. Well because of the lack of care, not getting soneone to help him change he developed a rash which led to a yeast infection. We started on the 1st floor and wow oh wow is all I can say. The CNA seemed like they needed to be in the hospital. I was in the room while a nurse was giving report and she wasn't even sure of everything going on with my dad and even questioned him about meds that were given. After a few days he was transferred to the 2nd floor. DAY WEEK staff, nurses, CNA and therapy were beyond awesome.... Respiratory and Housekeeping were 100% on piont. NIGHT & WEEKEND no words to describe them. At one point my dad waited over an hour for pain meds, I was having to take him ice and water because they couldn't seem to keep his container filled with ice water. One night nurse was VERY rough with him ( he eventually had a tube put in the side if his chest) when working with him. Several times they would go in to work on/with him moving things around and leaving the room and not moving his bedside table back so he could reach. ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS HE WAS LEFT WITHOUT HIS CALL BUTTON. That right there is neglect. I was beyond pissed after hearing about this the 1st time...you can only imagine the 2nd and 3rd time. I went so far as to looking to hire a caregiver to be there the two nights I couldn't because of work. Over the weekend all we kept hearing was how they were short staffed. I know that staff isn't supposed to let patients know that. At one point he was a 2 person transfer. The discharge coordinator Oreo is pushy and lies and doesn't pay attention to patients/family wishes. In my opinion, my father got as bad as he did due to the lack of care from this hospital. Every free moment I had between working my two jobs was spent here doing the job that the hospital hires people to do. I'm glad that nothing serious happened to my dad while he was left without his call light. It was extremely hard to see the discouragement on my dad's face thinking he wasn't going to ever get out of that hospital. This hospital has no clue the he** they caused me from being stressed, exhausted and worried. I do not wish for anyone to go through all the BS Mt father and I went through while he was hospitalized.

So I've changed my review to 1 star. This is by far the absolute WORST hospital in San Antonio. My father was admitted again. I had to have him transferred out of there. Because, once again, the lack of care. My father now has pneumonia AGAIN and he didn't even have a cough when he was admitted. He was actually admitted for a totally different reason. We were given every excuse as to why they couldn't get him up. Refused his shower. Did offer a bedbath, but never followed through. On one morning I had to go in and clean his toilet because whom ever had taken him to the restroom last felt it wasn't there job to clean it and left it a complete mess.
