If you have a serious addiction problem I don't recommend this program. This program services individuals with no other options in reference to residency and gainful employment. Rehabilitation is not at the top of this organizations list. One addiction meeting per day one religious service per day simply is not enough rehabilitation to stick. Maybe that's why the long lasting sober affiliates have been back & forth numerous times. 40hr. Work week for 7-20$per week. It doesn't take a genius..... But very resourceful for the ones who need a place to live and food to eat. Rehabilitation is rehabilitation, rescue missions are rescue missions. Knowing the difference is key.

I wouldn't recommend it neither I would recommend sober living oxford horse house of the rising sun I was there for 3 days the staff members there are really disrespectful I was feeling sick and I couldn't have a day off I will be reporting then to salvation army on mon because of that, I'm just tired of these guys being worked twice as hard that act like 20.00 a week is a big deal and it's not sober living is better if you're looking for a place inSan Antonio I would recommend pay it forward at heaven fit hope or heavens rehab its 12 step based

The Salvation Army not only changed my life profoundly but saved my life in every way possible including the much needed reminder that Jesus Christ is the true Lord and Savior. It's a great place but only works if you are committed to working your program and continuing to work your program always. I've learned that the hard way but I am working through it and I know that I have a foundation to go back to Salvation Army again if I really need to and only if I am comitted to it. I owe them my constant thanks!
