    DO NOT TRUST this company. We would give them a negative rating for dishonesty if we could. They will say whatever it takes to get you to sign the contract then you won't be able to get them to help you. We signed with them for 5 years at a higher rate than we could have paid elsewhere, because they promised a veteran discount as well as hassle free, one point of contact service if we ever had any issues. The said they were a broker and set us up an account with Reliant assuring us that we would never have to call reliant and spend hours on hold or being transferred because they would handle it all for us. The rep explained the extra we were paying was for this personal service which they said we wouldn't get elsewhere. When we received our welcome email from Reliant to set up the online account a couple weeks later, they had entered the EIN wrong and the number they did enter had a number missing so we could not get access to set up our online account. We emailed the rep who sold us the package and got a response that he was no longer with the company. A new rep tried to help us but couldn't get into the online account either. The new rep was Ireland G., who in all honesty is actually very nice and puts in the effort to be helpful but has not been able to fix the issue. That said, you can also see here that Ireland G. gave Spartan a 5 star review, which seems spurious as she is an employee and makes me question the validity of their other reviews. We had to spend 3 hours with reliant the first time getting the account paid and still couldn't access the online bill. The branch manager Ivan called to tell us he would personally take over the account, and asked what we needed. I told him we just needed the one point of contact we were promised. The support rep Ireland contacted us again to show the issue had been fixed but we were still unable to set up the online account, with the same error that my EIN (that has been the same for 4 years) was incorrect. Neither the EIN they provided nor my correct EIN would work. We asked to be released from the contract as promises made were not kept, and if we had to deal with a 3 hour ordeal on hold and go to Reliant directly instead of having the one point of contact service they promised, we would prefer to pay the lower rate. They claimed that they had no fault in the ordeal (even though Reliant told us the EIN error was from Spartan's end) and so they could not release us without a cancellation fee, which would nullify any savings we would get by switching to the lower rate. We then spoke to Reliant and discovered that the veteran discount they promised not only was not received, but doesn't exist. I asked Ireland 3 times through email if she could provide insight on this and she did not answer, finally saying Ivan would reach out and explain. We waited 6 days and of course, Ivan never reached out. It certainly appears that they bait and switched us by promising things they never intended to deliver, and we would caution anyone who has encountered them to do research and take the lower rates elsewhere or go directly through Reliant because they absolutely will not provide any of the service the sales team pitches before you sign up. We are now in a second month still unable to setup the online account (they did no work on this in the month between the last issue and now) and Ivan has not returned our calls so we are again spending hours on hold with Reliant to simply set up my online account and pay a bill that should really be just a few clicks. They have us over a barrel because if we cancel it costs us more, and from what I understand they have already been paid on our contract so they don't care if they meet their promises to us or not. We deeply regret ever trusting Spartan and would not enter a contract with them ever again. The fact that they would lie about a veteran discount to a very small veteran owned an operated business tells you everything you need to know about them.
