Southwest Milam Water Supply Corporation

We've had Milam County water for 25 years now and I think they do a great job. Whenever they have come out to work on our meter they are always friendly and professional. I'm sure they will be making whatever changes they can to do a better job on the next freeze.

Drove to their office to transfer service after purchasing a home in Caldwell. Had all the necessary forms, was greeted by a very nice young lady and was done in 5 minutes. Water pressure is great and quality of water is very good.

Horrible experience. They were supposed to cut off service because of someone staying in a house, abusing the service and letting the water run free out of spite for being evicted, therefore running up the bill to a huge amount. Instead we were told their policy, contrary to what is clearly stated on their bill, would mean they couldn't turn the water off until 2 months had passed. We even requested this policy in writing and instead received a vague statement saying it was an unspoken policy. Bottom line they purposefully allowed the service to be abused and are charging the owner of the house almost $4,000 for what they allowed to happen. Very unfair service. It would have been better to just drill a water well after this horrible experience. Other concerns were also not handled very well either. Would never recommend this company.
