Lam Institute for Hair Restoration

As an early 30s guy with slowly receding temples, I had known for many years that I would eventually want an FUE hair transplant. However, when shopping around with different surgeons in DFW, I noticed that many of them promised crazy results within one surgery, without a long-term plan for the patient to keep a nice head of hair throughout their lifetime. Dr. Lam was different- he was the only one to offer a conservative opinion on how much donor hair to graft, and how much to fill in the receding hairline. I very much appreciated his honesty, and the fact that he came at it with an eye for potential future need for more hair restoration to be completed. He didnt promise me unbelievable results, but rather, a great-looking hairline that was maintainable long-term, and satisfied the client. Yes, this is going to be a more costly surgery than your average hair surgeon, but I promise it is worth every penny. One week after my FUE procedure, the donor area already looks almost back to normal, and I cant detect any scarring. On top of that, the area where the grafts were transplanted give off almost no discomfort, and the bleeding, scabs are quite small and minimal. From what I can see, the hairline is natural and made to look like a real hairline. As far as the day of the surgery, it was shockingly easy. Youll be given the meds you need for the day to fly by- it was 5 PM before I knew it. The nurses and technicians are incredibly friendly and kind, and really do their best to put you at ease (Thanks to you nurses- yall were awesome.). I was fairly anxious, as I tend to be around needles, but there was basically zero discomfort at all, aside from a bit of pressure on a couple of injections. No pain at all during the procedure, and almost no pain afterwards. Theres some itchiness with the scabs, but nothing I could describe as painful- I havent needed to take the prescribed pain meds even once yet. After reading about and seeing so many horror stories and bloody, painful messes with other hair clinics, I couldnt be more impressed with the comfort, painless ness, and quick recovery time for Dr. Lams procedures. Now I just cant wait to see what my hair looks like a year from now once its all grown in! Long story short, I highly recommend Dr. Lam and his awesome team.

Almost twenty years later and I have continuing breathing problems from botched reconstructed nose job by Dr. Lam. Scalp facia removal has caused hair loss and continuing pain. Ear cartilage removal has caused enduring pain and inability to wear face mask. I should never have chosen this Doctor.

THE best for facial ANYTHING in Texas!! Hes too notch and knows exactly what hes doing and can explain treatments to you in great detail in a way tha you can understand.

Overall, I had an excellent experience, very impressive... the staff was wonderful and Dr. Lam is very professional. I had the strip procedure done and I am very satisfied. The care of the staff, and the whole team, are to be commended. During the procedure, I was sedated and felt very little pain. Mostly, I slept throughout... they woke me up for lunch which was provided. I took another sedative after lunch and then woke again after the procedure was completed. Al in all, very satisfied with everything and would highly recommend Dr. Lam Institute for Hair Restoration to anyone considering this procedure. I was able to obtain a good result from what I can see, currently, I'm excited to see how the hair develops as the months pass and the results become more prominent. Afterwards, the staff called an Uber to take me to the Hotel and a member of Dr. Lams staffed stayed with me until the driver arrived! All in all, I'm rating 5 Stars!
