I was recently charged with a Class C Assault stemming from a scuffle with my stepson. I was facing possession of marijuana and unlawful carry of weapon charges. My wife and I were approached suddenly by cops at a parking garage. The officers used their power of authority to the point where I felt I had to abide by all of their demands because I did not want to jeopardize my safety. After I was released from jail, I was frantic to look for a lawyer. I knew I did not want a court appointed lawyer because I had much to lose. I found Doug Wilder on Google. Thank you to the Wilder Law Firm team for everything! I was referred to them by a friend after being charged with a DWI. They informed me and suggested different things I could do to obtain a lesser sentence. With all of their advice, I was able to receive a deferred probation for a year with most of the coursework already completed. I was hoping for no interlock device, but I am happy with deferred probation so that it will technically stay off my record!
