I don't know what the first reviewer was talking about. Most of the clothes in my closet are from Chico's and I've never had problems with washing them IF the instructions say so. As for returning a garment, I did so today because I didn't like the way it fit. This garment was purchased more than 30 days ago and they couldn't have been nicer about my returning it. Perhaps a different attitude would have worked to her benefit.

I have been a long time Chicos customer and, in fact, I'm on Chicos customer advisory panel. However, I am furious with their new return /exchange policy. They apparently have changed their policy in recent months to indicate that you may not return nor exchange any item if the tags are not still attached it, regardless of whether you still have the tags and the receipt. I purchased a pair of cropped pants from them in my normal Chicos size online. I received them at home, and they were slightly big when I tried them on, but I thought it would be fine. I removed the tags and wore them for approximately two hours and they stretched out and got baggier and baggier as I wore them . I immediately took them off , collected the tags and the receipt and a day or so later attempted to return them to the store. However, I was told that since the tags were not attached, they could not be exchanged or returned! I am furious! They are in pristine condition and the sizing, stretching issue is their fault. Much online shopping is done these days and adjustments must be made when sizes are not as expected or things immediately stretch out or shrink very unexpectedly in the wash or something. Be sure that I will be returning ither items that are currently on their way to me from Chicos online and not shopping at their store anymore. I can certainly change my business to J.Jill and Macy's where their policies are much more customer centered and customer friendly . Very poor decision on their part!! Furious....
