In January, it will be one year since our son has been attending Kathy's. We had a rough start due to transitioning him from a home daycare to a facility as this. A few months ago, the facility underwent new management. I have been VERY impressed with the communication and how the day to day is conducted. I've even noticed the teachers are happier, which means my little guy is getting better care. The biggest headache lately has been some sign in and out issues with ProCare. The facility is becoming more streamlined, but there have been growing pains. But I'm truly excited to see what the future holds! I appreciate everyone there :)

Kathys Kiddie Corner deserves a huge shout out 5 Stars . This is my kids first time ever being in Daycare and they love it here. The location is perfect the inside is very spacious the staff is always very sweet. They send communication and pictures through out the day of how your child(ren) are doing. My son went from not talking at age 2 1/2 to now knowing how to count, colors, speech, and interacting with other kids. I could go on Im forever thankful and appreciative for the love that is being reciprocated. Thank you so much MrsMaria MrsCooper MrsEboni and especially MrsShelley

If you will notice, the good reviews are from years ago when the school was owned by caring people. This used to be a top notch, awesome place to leave your children and feel confident that they were safe and well cared for. However, we took my granddaughter there this past summer and hers and our experience there was NOT good. We had explained that she had never been to a daycare or left in anyone elses care, and that she was very independent and smart but also had some issues with her temper when adjusting to changes and following directions. That she was now 5 and had always been home and living with parents and grandparents in the same house. Might even be a touch of autism and more likely ADHD. We were assured over and over again that they had trained, patient, experienced staff to help their babies no matter what, to learn to adjust to life without mom during the day so they could be prepared to go to school. Very nice. Very accommodating and caring. At first my granddaughter loved going there and playing with all of the children and learning new things. The staff there at first was awesome and caring and nurturing. Unfortunately, the new management that is there now hired new staff and most of the caring staff are gone. This new management seems to only care about money and appearances. There is no one there anymore who actually has the experience or patience to help a child to transition through the confusion of schedules and rules and missing their mommy. They were not very nice to her and when we would pick her up she was ready to come home. In fact, she said she didnt want to go there anymore. One day a staff member approached her mother in front of anyone who was standing there in the middle of the room when she came to pick her up, and basically said if my granddaughter couldnt learn to control herself better and follow the rules, she would not be allowed to come back. Didnt ask to speak to her in the office about her child, didnt offer a solution, or to talk about how we could all possibly work together to help her, or anything compassionate or caring. Very unprofessional, very uncaring, and very embarrassing and upsetting. The whole experience shocked my daughter and we never brought my granddaughter back. Part of the problem with a lot of the children in daycare right now is that they are victims of the COVID era. When most of them could have benefited at an earlier age of learning how to socialize and follow the rules to get ready for real school and how to acceptably socialize, daycares were closed or parents were terrified to leave their children at a daycare for fear of them catching COVID. So many of them are now having a hard time adjusting to daycares or school without mommy or daddy. And daycares need to realize this and be more compassionate and patient with these children. If your business is taking care of and nurturing and caring for children, then do that. Help them. Dont only want to take care of the normal, perfect ones who follow all the rules! Anyway, bottom line is if your child isnt a perfect little follower, has any disabilities at all, etc. you dont want to take your child there. They dont have the time or patience to deal with them and that is not what you want for your children. My granddaughter also got sick every time she attended there. With either a cold or stomach bug or such. Could be because she was new to being exposed to regular kid germs or they werent getting the daycare cleaned properly. We dont know.

MY CHILD WAS HARMED WHILE IN THE CARE OF THIS FACILITY! Please read this review completely before considering this place as an option for your child(ren) especially if your child is non-verbal. With each of my three interactions with Kayla (the owner of this facility), in my opinion she has been a ruthless individual that lacks compassion and morality. I have held my tongue long enough and after her call this morning regarding the unexplained abrasions to my practically non-verbal autistic 3 year old son's neck- I have to warn fellow parents. Kayla called me to claim that she reviewed the footage and did not see Christian harmed during 8:07 - 10:45AM but mainly to inform me that her staff felt accused that I asked questions about how my child got harmed in their care. She went on to say that I need to find care for my child elsewhere by Friday July 1st because that will be his last day. She did not call to apologize or even extend compassion for the turmoil I felt to have picked up my child yet again from her facility with an unexplained injury. Of course I am going to be my son's voice because he doesn't have one and it is my job to investigate. My son did not arrive with those abrasions on his neck and why was it not brought to the director's attention and or why was I not notified/asked about it. Honestly, if the staff felt accused maybe it was their guilty conscience because I did not accuse anyone directly. I only expressed that my son was previously harmed while in the care at Kathy's Academy so I take abrasions of this caliber seriously like any decent parent would. I asked questions about when it was noticed by the early morning teacher and mid morning teacher because I was trying to figure out the timeline to report it to the assistant director who was emailing Kayla to review the footage. This was not the first time my child was harmed while I left my son in the care of Kathy's Academy and against my better judgement and Kayla's reassurance I kept my son here. I have nothing against the teachers and I actually have a great respect for them. By leaving my child in their care I am expressing my trust in them. With the first incident I had to get the police involved because my child's hands were squeezed so hard that it rendered petechiae (broken capillaries) which is injury to a child. Like I stated before my child has autism so he has an abnormally high pain tolerance (doesn't cry when injured) and he was even more nonverbal at that time. The second time was a huge bump to the side of his head that was so big it protruded outward and looked like a deformity. I am so distraught that these things have happen to my child and I pray that this never happens to your children. #Askquestions #AUTISMSPEAKS

I have sent my son to this daycare since he was about 5 months old. At first I was extremely nervous sending such a small baby to be looked over by strangers. The staff was so nice and my son at one year old loves to attend. He snuggles up to the staff when I hand him over and they communicate with me throughout the day. They send photos and send me updates all day. They definitely put my mind at ease and are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
