My son has been at Redd School from K-8. I highly recommend it. He had a great experience and enjoyed school. I can't say enough great things about Redd School. The teachers and staff are very attentive to your child's needs and bring out the best in your child. The learning experience is very hands on. We love and will miss the Redd School.

We have had three children attend Reddschool from pre-K through middle school and all have flourished in this nurturing educational environment. Though our kids were not eager to leave, when they transferred to the public high school they were more than prepared and found their level of education well above the average. Redd School is unique in providing a caring approach to teaching children not only the curriculum, but life lessons that will help them become well adjusted, productive citizens. The campus provides opportunity for the students to take part in gardening, horseback riding and working with animals in the petting zoo. Our kids loved the summer camps where they made new friends and learned to swim. They ask to go back to visit their teachers and have worked as counselors at the summer camps.

When I moved from South Carolina back to Texas, I took my time to find the "right" school for my son. We toured seven different schools ranging from classical style to Montessori style teaching. What we found at the Redd School was a truly unique offering. My son is very wary of strangers (he has always been at home with either me or the nanny) and when there's a bad "vibe" in a place, he's the first person to tell me it's time to go. We toured many schools in the Spring, TX area and several times, he would cry profusely and would ask me to leave because he didn't like it there. Well, low and behold, when we pulled up to the Redd School and met with Ms. Rachael (the preschool director), my son was in love. He went straight into a classroom and sat down. Without missing a beat, the teacher in the classroom gave him materials so he could join in their lesson. She didn't hesitate or question anything. My daughter, then only 18 months, ran in and joined the class as well. I continued my tour solo and was very impressed with what the school had to offer. The style was perfect for my children who learn very differently. My daughter is an independent person, a thinker, and does well in an environment where she can teach herself to work through problems (Montessori style). My son relies heavily on the guidance of a teacher and needs someone who would help nurture his appetite for learning and progressing and he does well in a more classical teaching style. The Redd School is a perfect mix. There are stations in the class, but the children are taught in a group setting and they are also encouraged to learn independently through the many stations available in each classroom. The teachers genuinely love the kids and love their job. I can't say the same for some of the schools I visited, of which, some were very well known "chain" daycare facilities. This was very important to me. I didn't want to send my kids to school in a place where the teachers didn't even want to be. I feel like all the teachers, even the ones that don't teach my children, are a part of my family. They know all the kids in all the classrooms, fostering this environment of safety, awareness, and genuine happiness. Do I sound crazy enthusiastic? IT'S BECAUSE I AM! This is the second year my children have been enrolled in the Redd School and I'm so happy they are here. I'm also VERY happy because there is basically a petting zoo on campus. Children should learn through play and be out in nature and see animals and grow gardens full of flowers, vegetables, etc. It's such an amazing experience for them, unlike anything I've ever seen offered at other schools. The Redd School also offers horseback riding lessons and during the summer, the camps are amazing. My son went to FINS and Lifetime Fitness, and the Y for swim lessons - four lessons a week for months at each place. He would cry and fight every single lesson, not wanting to go and being afraid of the water. I signed him up for Swim Camp and came for the first lesson. NOT ONE TEAR WAS SHED. He jumped in and was determined to do well. At the end of session one, he was already swimming since he was also getting about two hours of swim time at home on the weekdays as well. It was an amazing experience for him and I can't wait for my daughter to be in Swim Camp next year. I love coming to the Redd School and supporting it in every way possible. I have never had any regrets about sending my children there. I am confident that when they leave my home and my car, they are in the care of amazing teachers who genuinely have their best interests at heart and they love my kids and want to see them do well. In this day and age, it's easy to just send your child anywhere that's most convenient for the parent in terms of their daily commute, but I would encourage parents all around to consider the Redd School. I can't tell you how much I love having my kids there.
