I saw another doctor in this group that I was satisfied with, not Dr Bellary, but this name was one of the names on a refund check that I finally got after almost three months. The reason for the one star is that on my very first visit on August 9, 2016, I was charged $250 which was the amount of my entire deductible, but they are under contract with United Health Care to charge a maximum of $219.41. The only way I found out that I had overpaid was that I received a bill for lab work that was done at a later date related to this first visit, I called UHC about it and they said I had not met my deductible and I need to contact this group of doctors for a refund or have them send payment on the lab work. $ 250 is my deductible and 0 copay after it's met. I called this office to ask about getting my refund and on the first call I was told that I indeed had a credit on my account, but they would have to talk to a doctor about having it sent out. The second call, I was told pretty much the same and the third call in October, I'm told that a check was ready and should be sent out soon. On October 21st I received a check in the amount of $30.59 and dated September 30, 2016 with a notation on the check stating it is void after 60 days of which 21 days are already gone. Well, it will be going to the bank Monday so that's not really a big deal. I realize it's just $30.59, but it's the point of paying for a service and having the provider of the service take advantage of you. They give no itemized bill when you pay, just a receipt stating you paid the amount they asked. If I had not received a bill from the lab, I would never have known they were holding on to my money or if they ever planned to refund me. This is a doctors office, people you put your trust in for care when you need it, how can you give complete trust if it appears that they are not trustworthy when it comes to taking your money and keeping what doesn't belong to them. The funny thing is, they have no problem charging you $40 if you for whatever reason miss a scheduled appointment, and this is stated on their reminder call for an upcoming appointment. This was my first visit to a doctor this year and this group was chosen because they were about the only ones that accepted my UHC plan in my area and again, I did like the doctor I saw there and she is no longer with this group and after this, I will not be going back to the doctors there.
